6/3/2025 - New Album; Grey Nights

Getting into my Electronic music swag bag to make this album, which is also a concept album and part of the Afrofuturism moods I’ve been doing. I won’t get into the story as I’ve already made a YouTube video with all the music on the album in the video, and I timed each chapter to the music so it fitted good and there weren’t any hanging bits. The video, which is a short comic-like story, has me and my dog Patch as the main characters. I like to think of myself as a storyteller and enjoy making up things for pure entertainment, as you may have discovered on my other websites, gameforexpermentation.co.uk and randomgas.com. I used my own drums from my own collection of drum kits, and I think I used the Roland 808 drum kit, which is one of my favourites to use, but I’m starting to favour the Lin Drum, but not the snares. For the synthesizers I used the Matrix 12 from the Artuia’s V Collection which I like to use on all my spacy tracks and I made quite a few by now some are unreleased and stuff I was meant to release on a day but forgot so it’s unreleased for now until I find the tracks again. My friend and I wrote the story first, well, first there were chapter ideas, and it turned into a brief description of each chapter, which I followed along with in the track titles and also in the story, which is below if you want to check that out. I enjoyed making the story, which I used a comic style and photoshopped the pictures. It’s something I’ve done before and enjoy doing I think it’s quite fun and keeps me busy for a second but I use the free open source software called Gimp and is my go to program for photoshopping and making stuff with pictures. The first track, which is called Cheers, is a soft, synthy number and has a warm bass and gentle follow-along synths to go with the rest of the track. I like it and it is one of my favourites on the album. I wish it were longer, though.  The next track, called Weird is a more upbeat track with more lively playing and drum action. Once again, it should be longer, but it had to fit the chapter. The next track, called The Feel Is Strange, is another favourite of mine on the album, as I like the upbeatness to it, and I like the synths to this one. The next track, called Lock & Key, is another one I quite like, and I like the robot fear to it and the chorus synth, which wakes the song up; it’s meant to invoke danger and evil aliens and their robots, which I think it did quite well. The next track is called A Bid For Freedom, and another favourite on the album, as I like the danger feel to it and the extra-terrestrial feel to it. I also like the melody to this one with the frantic end-of-the-world playing. The next track is called Captured, is a more laid back track that I quite like until the strings start kicking in, then it’s more doom doom doom music. I was going for that tense feel to the track to invoke being captured and being held hostage by the captors. The last track, Home Dry, is another favourite on the album as I like the bass with the frantic string stabs and the chorus which makes the track.

11/2/2025 - New Album; Tender As The Night Before

The first House EP of the year and, as always, something upbeat and danceable. I called it Tender As The Night Before as a reference to a bad headache from the night before, out drinking, which I don’t actually do anymore since I was in my late 20s, maybe early 30s. Still, I remember the headaches and the embarrassing memories which made you tender from the night before.  I don’t really drink beer or lager as it’s quite bloating, but obviously, I drink it if someone brings me a pint at the pub. But I like spirits better: JD and Coke, otherwise known as Jack Daniels. Captain Morgan rum, Barcadi and Brandy, mainly Courvoisier and I love Ciroc which is a light refreshing Vodka not like plain Vodka which is over powering and doesn’t taste too good that’s the only spirit I don’t like. Those are the drinks I like to drink when I go out, and there were plenty of rounds of Jack Daniels and Barcardi with coke. The reason why I stopped drinking and only resort to drinking on special occasions and when I’m out is I drink too much and become sick I really can’t handle my drink too much and go way over my limit which I’m quite small for my age so I really don’t need that much but I can drink a lot and before I know it my head is spinning and I’m crawling on my knees being sick which is not good and I never liked that feeling also horrible motion sickness. I had this job where it was demanding and was a lot of gatherings and celebrations which meant more drinking it was most nights and even though you pull the I just have a orange juice gag which is refreshing for a hangover and something good for your stomach unless you are pregnant they still shove the drinks in your hand and I couldn’t handle the drink flow which meant being sick in the morning and having a banging headache so drink never worked for me but I still would drink really I should drink a little more and liven up the night. The first track Hey There, is a bassy vocal number I quite like and is danceable and energetic. As always and like all the tracks on this EP, I got the vocals from Splice.com, and the drums are from my own collection of drum loops I mostly bought off Loopmasters a long time ago. I like the bass and the vocals, which I think give the track an energetic feel and make the track into something. I also like the ending, where I change it a little bit with more vocals and synths added over the bass. The next track Show You (How About) is another bassy, high-energy track, and the bass reminds me of old Acid House basslines. I had fun picking the vocals to this one, as they were amusing short snippets which made me laugh, and there were so many to pick from. I was looking for some spoken word and found the ones on the record, and more so, I thought it was funny, so I went with them. I like the strings to this one, and they give it that high-energy feel to it, and I like both the ending strings, which are reversed and the first set of strings it’s hard to get strings that sound like rave strings and making a rhythm but I think this one sounds good and is my overall favourite on the EP. The next track Done With It is another bassy but more easygoing track you can just chill to. I like the vocals over the bass, which I think goes well and is a favourite on the EP. I also like the end, where I change the rhythm up and pick up the pace a bit and make it come to a big bang. The last track, Fade Away (If I Start) is another chilled but upbeat number that tackles a real question of mine and something I see time after time in my own life and in other people’s but with success there’s the point where you come down maybe you’re hit hard and where are all the people that was with you at the your heights but that’s a whole different topic I won’t get into here. I like the vocals and the ending to this one, where again I bring it to a big bang and closure to the track with more vocals and extra synths and bass for the finishing touch.

9/2/2025 - New Album; Steinfield Dream

Once again a dream or nightmare that I had recently that had Frankenstein in and now I think about it it’s a dream I had when I was much younger like when I was a kid it was probably waking up late at night and watching a bit of the old black and white Frankenstein films and the one with his wife in which I think is the second film that was also in black and white. As always I won’t go into detail about the dream as I’ve made a quick eBook with photos to demonstrate what was in my dream, most of which are local places as in my dream they were local only a few minutes walk from the flat I live in. But to sum it up we were in this hut and this stern lady who I think represented Margaret Thatcher the ex-Prime Minster of the UK in the 80s and early 90s but she was saying no to all the suggestions and she wouldn’t let us go anywhere somehow the dream or nightmare turned into down at the bottom of the field of a leisure centre but is a good local place to sit and chill in the summer and walk your dog if you have a dog that is lol. There was this tomb entrance with a fire torch at the entrance so a normal entrance you would see in a film or something. Long story short we came across Frankenstein who was wandering around in the corridors of this tomb and he nearly got us he wanted to bite us. Luckily we evaded him by running into one of the rooms that we were now trapped in. One person tried to make a run for it who he wasn’t that much liked but he got nabbed by Frankenstein and he was no more. This is when a neon tunnel appeared with missing bricks that made the hole and was a tunnel back to the bottom of the field and at the tomb’s entrance again. We made our way back to the hut which by the way is at the top of the field in my dream and in real life and in real life it’s a changing room for various sports that happen on the field but mostly cricket and football. We stayed in the hut for a bit where a couple of people venged the hated person’s death before leaving and walking down back alleys to our home. The next bit was many years down the line when I saw a couple of the people I was in the hut in a retirement home and one was acting very strange outside the home which was actually an old college I went to a long time ago and when I was 15 onwards. We all pretended we didn’t know each other and were strangers at this point but they looked a bit unhinged and silent from the trauma they faced. The first track No Can Do is an arpy number that represents waiting around and being bored like all the tracks on this album I used my trusted V Collection from Arturia and drums from the Roland 606 which I got from the Mars Drum Kit Pack. I like the Sequencer or Arp on this one and the chorus rhythms which I played using a MIDI keyboard and I like the end too which as always I like to bring to a finale so it goes somewhere. The next track The Tomb is a slow dark but mysterious track which I quite like. I like the synths over the aggressive bass which I think is one of my favourites on the album for its dark and mysterious vibe which represents the tomb and its entrance. I also like the ending to this one where I use dragging-on stone FXs to represent the tomb’s entrance door and the final push to the end where I put everything an Octave higher to give it that change and finale feel. The next track Stein In The Passage is upbeat but another dark and mysterious number which I quite like. I like the bass to this one I think it’s a catchy bass rhythm that represents the meeting of Frankenstein. I also like the chorus which turns out to be another one of my favourites on the album as I like the screeches and the dark synth that is in the chorus which also represents the meeting of Frankenstein. I also like the ending where the drums bring it to a dark closing with extra kicks, hats and an extra snare and with an extra synth added on top and also extra screeches which I found on the Pixabay website a good go-to place for FXs and photos too. The next track Trapped and One Dead is a frantic number which again I quite like I like the beginning synth which gives it that frantic feel but the bass kinds of chills it out but still has that kind of frantic feel to it like you are evading something or going round in a maze in circles. I also like the chorus bits too which again straighten it out a little bit and make it more of a chilled just chilling track. The next track Appearing Tunnel Savoir is a gentle but hard-hitting number that represents a tunnel appearing and going through it. I really like the synths on this one and I think is my overall favourite and one of my more gentler tracks on the album. I like the ending too where more drums and a sequencer or arp are added for difference and also an extra synth which reminds me of the Kill Bill sound when she’s about to strike. The next track Retirement is a happy and chilled number that I also quite like. I like the synths that go over the bass and I also like the ending too but I really like the second synth that comes in and makes it sound old and once again relaxing also I like the end synth which makes it feel a bit jazzy and happy. The next track The Tomb (Remix) is a House remix I made for fun and as I like to make remixes to my songs especially flipping them into new genres but I like it and reminds me of the more older Dance music and House music too. The last track Retirement (Remix) is the Drum and Bass remix to the original track Retirement. I would have done two House tracks but I felt like doing some Drum and Bass so I thought why not and was for a bit of difference between the album and the track before so here it is.

16/01/2025 - New Album; Climates Of Our Solar System

One thing that always interested me was space and the solar system that surrounds Earth it started from the early years around four to five and started with the sun watching it each morning and night rise and fall and that eerie lighting you get in the summer around six to seven o’clock. Climates Of Our Solar System is an eight-track mini album that runs alongside my interactive post called Solar Planets which goes through the eight main planets in the solar system Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune with lots of information about them which I borrowed from Nasa and Wiki. I didn’t count the sun as a planet as that’s actually a star or did I do dwarf planets like Pluto the well-known dwarf planet but I kept it to the main eight planets or I’ll be there all day. I really learned a lot while putting the interactive post together and I put as much as possible with fun facts and other stuff I’ll leave a link in the button below if you are interested in learning about space and what is around you. As always I used my trusted Arturia V Collection with drums from the Mars Pack which I used a lot of the 808s drum kits as I like to use them quite a lot and were and still is a popular choice for most tracks. The tracks are also in the interactive post I made so I wanted to make something that was connected somehow so I worked it out and did climates of each planet with keywords like helium and gasses and tried to work it in the song somehow but I used the Matrix from Arturia’s V Collection quite a lot and is a go-to for spacy sounds from yesteryear and there’s quite a lot of sounds to choose from including basses, synths and pads. The first track Mercurius is about the planet Mercury which is a hot planet so I made it a summer song and something to play in the extreme weather we face. I like the vocals which represent the high volume of Helium on the planet with solar storms and harsh weather that a human just couldn’t survive on. I also like the Arp sound that goes throughout the song which gives it more of a spacy feel to or a planet in the future with the other stuff added on for luck and to make that full track. The next track Aphrodite is about Venus which is the hottest planet in the Solar System other than the sun it would out outdo Venus’s heat but as Venus is so close to the sun it gets the heat blast like Mars the neighbour planet but it absorbs the heat more as the extreme heats are easily lost on Mercury. The songs are more hot summer tracks which I used  Omnisphere for this one with stuff from Arturia plugins it’s one you can have in the background when summer is here and when it’s not being dry with that weather as England has more ups and downs than two people on a seesaw. I like the chorus bit too which I think makes the song and I also like the ending to it which as always comes to a climax. The next track Terra is based on the Earth and I used a fog horn on this one as most of the Earth is made of water and is a water planet but a special water planet that’s adapted throughout the centuries to survive and make sure everything is tickadee boo. I like the first synth and its rhythm which makes it an upbeat track and something more lively and of course upbeat. The next track Mavors is about Mars and one of my upmost spacy tracks which represents its cold at night temperatures and hot blazing summers but it’s not the hottest planet out there. I like the bass the second synth that comes in before the chorus which I think makes the track. I would say it’s one of my favourites on the album as I think it could be played when you are just chilling at home or if you are doing nothing just relaxing. I also like the ending too where as always gets spun into a climax. The next track Luppiter is about the planet Jupiter and as the planets move away from the sun it gets colder so this one is a bit icy and like a winter’s day but is still kind of warm with a smile on my face. This is another favourite on the album as I like the synths over the bass which I think goes well together. I would say this is one of my overall favourites on this album and think it has something about it you will enjoy. The next track Satunus is about the planet Saturn. I imagined Saturn to be a wasteland where nothing really happens and has more Helium vocals to represent the Helium element it has on its planet. Again this is another top favourite on the album as I like the spacy deserted feel to it which I think represents the planet. I also like the ending where I bring it to a soft ending with more synths and Helium vocals. The next track Caelus is about the planet Uranus which is the coldest planet in the solar system beating its neighbour and the one furthest away from the sun Neptune. Since it’s the coldest planet in the solar system it’s a chilly track which I used Omnisphere to bring out that bare-face winter feel which I like the sound of. I like the synths and the glacier-cold wind sound which is all from Omnisphere. It’s another favourite on the album and I just like the sounds and the synth bit that is the chorus. The last track Neptunus is about the planet Neptune and is the planet furthest away from the sun so another cold and icy planet. I like the synth at the start which sounds like somewhere icy and hard to get to. I like the bass to this one too and I think goes well with the other stuff I added and yet again another favourite on the album.Â
