DYSTOPIA VST PLUGIN
[FREE DOWNLOAD]

I wanted to make another VST plugin, so here it is, my next project, bringing you edgy and dystopian sounds for your music. I used a keyboard that a friend gave me to make the sounds, and then I used FXs to change the sound into something more different. I also used Romplur and free photo-shopping software called Gimp to put it together and make it into a VST. I was inspired by something I read and mentioned Electronic Dystopia, which is something I do now and then, and I already made a sample pack with the same title, but I’m happier with this one. I’m really into my dystopia music, and the subject is quite interesting, and now I think about it, I wouldn’t like to live in a dystopian or utopian world and that we are good the way we are in this crazy world. I think the world we are living in is a dystopian one, as no matter where you turn, there’s a bit of craziness, and everyone is losing their minds. I made the demo tracks below with Electronic music in mind, but I think there are a few sounds you could use in other genres, like Electronic Dance Music, just give it a go.

6/3/2025 - New Album; Grey Nights

Getting into my Electronic music swag bag to make this album, which is also a concept album and part of the Afrofuturism moods I’ve been doing. I won’t get into the story as I’ve already made a YouTube video with all the music on the album in the video, and I timed each chapter to the music so it fitted good and there weren’t any hanging bits. The video, which is a short comic-like story, has me and my dog Patch as the main characters. I like to think of myself as a storyteller and enjoy making up things for pure entertainment, as you may have discovered on my other websites, gameforexpermentation.co.uk and randomgas.com. I used my own drums from my own collection of drum kits, and I think I used the Roland 808 drum kit, which is one of my favourites to use, but I’m starting to favour the Lin Drum, but not the snares. For the synthesizers I used the Matrix 12 from the Artuia’s V Collection which I like to use on all my spacy tracks and I made quite a few by now some are unreleased and stuff I was meant to release on a day but forgot so it’s unreleased for now until I find the tracks again. My friend and I wrote the story first, well, first there were chapter ideas, and it turned into a brief description of each chapter, which I followed along with in the track titles and also in the story, which is below if you want to check that out. I enjoyed making the story, which I used a comic style and photoshopped the pictures. It’s something I’ve done before and enjoy doing I think it’s quite fun and keeps me busy for a second but I use the free open source software called Gimp and is my go to program for photoshopping and making stuff with pictures. The first track, which is called Cheers, is a soft, synthy number and has a warm bass and gentle follow-along synths to go with the rest of the track. I like it and it is one of my favourites on the album. I wish it were longer, though.  The next track, called Weird is a more upbeat track with more lively playing and drum action. Once again, it should be longer, but it had to fit the chapter. The next track, called The Feel Is Strange, is another favourite of mine on the album, as I like the upbeatness to it, and I like the synths to this one. The next track, called Lock & Key, is another one I quite like, and I like the robot fear to it and the chorus synth, which wakes the song up; it’s meant to invoke danger and evil aliens and their robots, which I think it did quite well. The next track is called A Bid For Freedom, and another favourite on the album, as I like the danger feel to it and the extra-terrestrial feel to it. I also like the melody to this one with the frantic end-of-the-world playing. The next track is called Captured, is a more laid back track that I quite like until the strings start kicking in, then it’s more doom doom doom music. I was going for that tense feel to the track to invoke being captured and being held hostage by the captors. The last track, Home Dry, is another favourite on the album as I like the bass with the frantic string stabs and the chorus which makes the track.

Music News – New Album; Tender As The Night Before

11/2/2025 - New Album; Tender As The Night Before

The first House EP of the year and, as always, something upbeat and danceable. I called it Tender As The Night Before as a reference to a bad headache from the night before, out drinking, which I don’t actually do anymore since I was in my late 20s, maybe early 30s. Still, I remember the headaches and the embarrassing memories which made you tender from the night before.  I don’t really drink beer or lager as it’s quite bloating, but obviously, I drink it if someone brings me a pint at the pub. But I like spirits better: JD and Coke, otherwise known as Jack Daniels. Captain Morgan rum, Barcadi and Brandy, mainly Courvoisier and I love Ciroc which is a light refreshing Vodka not like plain Vodka which is over powering and doesn’t taste too good that’s the only spirit I don’t like. Those are the drinks I like to drink when I go out, and there were plenty of rounds of Jack Daniels and Barcardi with coke. The reason why I stopped drinking and only resort to drinking on special occasions and when I’m out is I drink too much and become sick I really can’t handle my drink too much and go way over my limit which I’m quite small for my age so I really don’t need that much but I can drink a lot and before I know it my head is spinning and I’m crawling on my knees being sick which is not good and I never liked that feeling also horrible motion sickness. I had this job where it was demanding and was a lot of gatherings and celebrations which meant more drinking it was most nights and even though you pull the I just have a orange juice gag which is refreshing for a hangover and something good for your stomach unless you are pregnant they still shove the drinks in your hand and I couldn’t handle the drink flow which meant being sick in the morning and having a banging headache so drink never worked for me but I still would drink really I should drink a little more and liven up the night. The first track Hey There, is a bassy vocal number I quite like and is danceable and energetic. As always and like all the tracks on this EP, I got the vocals from Splice.com, and the drums are from my own collection of drum loops I mostly bought off Loopmasters a long time ago. I like the bass and the vocals, which I think give the track an energetic feel and make the track into something. I also like the ending, where I change it a little bit with more vocals and synths added over the bass. The next track Show You (How About) is another bassy, high-energy track, and the bass reminds me of old Acid House basslines. I had fun picking the vocals to this one, as they were amusing short snippets which made me laugh, and there were so many to pick from. I was looking for some spoken word and found the ones on the record, and more so, I thought it was funny, so I went with them. I like the strings to this one, and they give it that high-energy feel to it, and I like both the ending strings, which are reversed and the first set of strings it’s hard to get strings that sound like rave strings and making a rhythm but I think this one sounds good and is my overall favourite on the EP. The next track Done With It is another bassy but more easygoing track you can just chill to. I like the vocals over the bass, which I think goes well and is a favourite on the EP. I also like the end, where I change the rhythm up and pick up the pace a bit and make it come to a big bang. The last track, Fade Away (If I Start) is another chilled but upbeat number that tackles a real question of mine and something I see time after time in my own life and in other people’s but with success there’s the point where you come down maybe you’re hit hard and where are all the people that was with you at the your heights but that’s a whole different topic I won’t get into here. I like the vocals and the ending to this one, where again I bring it to a big bang and closure to the track with more vocals and extra synths and bass for the finishing touch.Â
