24/11/2024 - New EP; Shake Something

More house vibes with another four-track House EP called Shake Something. This EP is all about dancing and having fun. Yes, I bet some people have lost their fun side and memories of having fun, but anyway. I love to dance and I used to go to a lot of events and raves and club nights when I was over 18 but I used to go to a lot of events and illegal raves when I was younger and of course the once yearly but now every two years the carnival called St Paul’s Carnival and the once music festival they would have every year at Ashton Court which are both eventful days and nights and a good excuse to get hammered and dance and have fun lol. The festivals are always diverse with live acts and DJ sets with all sorts of acts and music types it really is a show and something I actually enjoy listening to. Dancing is the number one way on how to express yourself and is a form of expression and something you can do with the right rhythm and timing and those steps you learned for a laugh in that YouTube video or something like that. When I was younger I went to a lot of dance schools well I went to around three where I learned street dancing and a bit of everything really. I enjoyed it and learned a lot in those classes about how to shake the assess lol and was a good excuse to express myself I found it hard to express myself and was quite a shy person I still am in a way but I’m not that shy to be honest if that makes sense to you. I used to like to go out to raves and dance with random people it’s a laugh and something that I get my energy from and something I enjoy doing and dancing with my friends too who I went with. It’s what I went out to do and to drink of course like the ad should say always drink responsibly even though it’s hard when you are in the moment and NEVER mix your drugs with alcohol drink water that you can get free from the bar or buy a bottle of water.  The first track is Funny Knot but actually the sort of saying funny not and is a track to dance to and could be played in a rave or at home. Like all the vocal samples I found on Splice.com and I got the drums and the bass from my own collection of samples which I got mostly from Loomasters.com but I cut up the bass to make a one-shot and made my own bass pattern up like I did to all of them. I like the bass and the club feel vocals which I think makes the track into a club hit and something to dance to. It’s a favourite on the EP and I think it’s a good song to have on your playlist or one for your party to get it live and kicking. The next track Chyld Please is another favourite on the EP as I like the bass rhythm over the vocals which again is another one to dance to and have on in the club or have it on your playlist. I called it Chyld please but pronounced Child as it sounded like a child’s voice on the sample so I thought I call it that. It sounds cute and something you can hopefully dance to. The next track French Fever is a follow-up to my other French songs I made as I like to use different languages and French is my favourite to use even though I don’t have any idea what they are saying so if I can get a translation from someone that would be nice and that’s no joke and thank you. The vocals are opera-type singing which I like and I like the change near the end which makes you want to dance and I think is another good one to dance to. The last track Shake Something is my overall favourite on the EP and I like the old-school bass pattern which was a bass loop which I cut up and changed the rhythm slightly. I also like the synth pattern over the club vocals which I love and I think makes the track into something. Of course, this is one to dance to and one for the club it could be played in a club should I say. It reminds me of 80s House with the bass and something I enjoy in House music and I love the vocals which I always found some good ones on Splice.com. I like the end to this track where it get’s more frantic and something to shake that ass to to lol.

19/11/2024 - New Album Release; 6 Pack Remixes Vi

More six-pack remixes of some of the other tracks that are from some of my Jungle/Drum and Bass, UK Funky, UK Garage, House, Experimental, Gaming and Synthy vibes tracks. I went with what I had already using the original file as a template and changing bits and pieces along the way adding new sounds and patterns. I got the drum loops and the synthy stuff including the bassess from Splice.com and the loops I had already which I bought from Loopmasters a long time ago but they always come in handy to quickly get the show on the road. For the vocals, I used samples from Splice.com and as you know by now if you follow along with the reading it is my go-to place to get samples for the tracks I make including basses, vocals, drum patterns including breaks for those Jungle/Drum and Bass tracks, synthy stuff like keyboard sounds and synthesizer sounds, one-shots of all the range and so much more. I am impressed with Splice as they have the sounds to elevate your music to the next level and I’ve been using them for a while now and still, they churn out those grooves that hit the spot. As my other Seagate hard drive is broken I had to use my newer tracks but when I get back onto my other computer my laptop I will be digging up some much older tracks but ah there isn’t nothing wrong with remixing newer tracks but I do like to spread them out like legs lol. I have a special folder of tracks I made but never got released so I might be digging into that folder to find some good ones to bring to life and remix them as well who knows I feel like making some music now but I have a lot of stuff to do and a backlog for my websites but I think I’m nearly done. The first track Monkey See Monkey Do – Remix is off my And Along Came Alice EP that I released not so long ago. It is a chilled but vibey number and is good for just chilling or doing whatever you are doing. I like the synthy sound over the sine bass and the dramatic strings that serve as the chorus which is my favourite bit on the track. I changed the sounds and the patterns making something new but I did keep some elements in there to make it sound the same but different from the last one the original track. The next track Chyld Please – Remix is off my Shake Something EP which is also out now and available on all major music platforms. The track is danceable and one to dance to and turn up just a little. I like the bass and I like the vocals too which  I used heavily on both the original and this one the remix. I like the end which I like to switch it up a little and bring in more stuff and changing rhythms to something you can shock out to. The next track Nay Sayers – Remix is a slight variation to House and has breaks on the track which I added for something a bit different and it went together so I thought what the hell why not? It is off the And Along Came Alice EP that ‘s been out for around two weeks now. You can easily use this to get fit or step to and reminds me of being on the dancefloor or in the gym not that I ever go to the gym but I was a gymnast so I was always near the gym or near aerobics lessons. I like the ending when there is a different bass and there is a slight variation of the persistent pattern that plays out along the track. The next track  Blew Horn – Remix is off my One Man Band Album. It was an experimental album I made around a year ago or under a year ago so I decided to add one track from my experimental album which I’m glad I did as I like the results of this track and think it’s more summer vibes when the weather is hot and sticky or on a cold icy day when it’s just snowed in the morning kind of feel to it. I found the trumpet sample on my free sample and sounds go to website Pixabay.com which I cut down to size and added filters and other things cutting down the file into different variations and sounds to make the track and it’s one of my favourites on the album and I like the filter trumpets I layered which took a lot of work but I used the same file as the original track so it was half done for me as I picked up where I left off.  The next track Shake It In Rotations – Remix is off my Shake Something EP and is my overall favourite on the album as I like the change half way through and the club feel to it. The track is a variation to the first track the original track which I added a synthy sound and changed the bass and other sounds also making slight variations in the patterns. I went manic at the end bringing it to a close and it gets busy with lots of vocals, synths and pressure. It is a dancing track and one to turn up a little bit and dance until you are done I hear club vibes so this could be played in a club or at a rave event or even mixed into a mix and I mix a lot of my tracks so trust me they are good to go. The last track Manic Dramatics – Remix is off my Like A Cow In The Night EP that was a Jungle/Drum and Bass EP I made a few years ago now. This is another one for the club/rave and something to turn up a little and dance if you feel inclined. I used the same bass well bass 1 but I changed the other bass and pattern for a new track but again made it sound the same but completely different from the original track.I would say like this whole EP it would also make good background noise for your parties or me time too.

Music News – New EP; And Along Came Alice

19/11/2024 - New EP Release; And Along Came Alice

Part of my run-along Dorothy series and an Electronic EP I made not so long ago. I should explain the run-along Dorothy is to the people stuck in a fantasy and don’t want the help but rather perpetuate lies and fantasies about you and see every second of the day to make your life misery cos you believe in something different than them and the truth as far as I can see. Anyway, I got the idea for the title and the EP from the Alices in my life as for every Dorothy there’s an Alice and I do mean Alice In Wonderland. They like to hate and act bad bloody clout chasers always trying to copy you and steal your bag and shine but I don’t care as I know what I got and I’m sticking to it bite me. I’ve been listening to a bit of 70s Electronic and I went back to the drawing board with this one adding more bits and pieces to make the track more fuller. I was inspired by the ’70s and 80s Electronic playlist I created which can be found on my Mixcloud but I noticed how full it was so I added more beats and more changes to make it more fuller and I like the results.  I made the drum patterns and used my AKAI MPK Mini MIDI keyboard to play the notes but for the drums, I used the Roland 808, 606, and the Lindrum from my collection of one-shot drums and drum kits which I use on all my Electronic music I make. I don’t use the Lindrum that much but I’m going to make a habit of it in the future as they are good kits to use, oh and I used the Zenhesier 80’s Drum Kit as well for those Synthwave vibes. For the Synthesizers I used the Arturia V Collection and some from the Korg Collection, which again I use quite a lot on my Electronic music and favour them quite a lot. I was also listening to my other Electronic album Rebitten By The Lizard which is one of my favourite Electronic albums I made and also was trying to captivate the same mood of melodic dark and light music and I put this as one of my of my favourites Electronic EPs I made. It’s so unfair as I had a good life before I gave it all up for a simpler life but I was doing a lot of things not to brag or anything just to say how they use that to their so-called advantage and try to eat away at you but the memories are strong and I remember all the good times I had and won’t forget them again in a hurry as I actually forgot about all the things I did in the past and that some of it I was paid for it blows my mind. The first track The Nay Sayers is dedicated to all the naysayers as I said the barn is that way. I hate me some naysayers and hear them a lot online and also in my day-to-day life it really is damaging for your health but please carry on making a twit of yourself. Naysayers is a melodic vibe with a dark bass undertone that I played myself it’s one of my favourites on the EP as I like the melodic synth vibes and I also like the ending where it crescendos into the final. I also like the bass and I used the Mini Moog from Artria for the bass and I’m not sure about the synthy stuff but was either from the Korg Collection or the Arturia V Collection. The next track Alice is for all the Alices stuck in a fairy tale again please carry on you haven’t got to the best bit yet. Alice is a funky synthy number and again one of my favourites on the EP as I like the synthy beats over the bass and drums I made. I like the ending too which I made it a thing to go crazy at the end so please don’t blast it as it probably won’t sound as appealing at a normal level. The next track Monkey See Monkey Do is another one I quite like as I like the simple synth beat over the other melodic bass and synth stuff. I don’t know who opened the gates to the zoo but send them back as I’m tired of these monkeys banging on their chest like I’m meant to be afraid or upset they are so thirsty it’s unbelievable. Like the other tracks I like the ending to this one and I went crazy again adding more melodic vibes over the beat which I used the Artria V Collection I think and I think it goes quite well with the rest of the beat. The last track Diseased is for the sick and needy and is my overall favourite on the EP. They are diseased the lot of them every two seconds they want to add something diseased to the conversation they are twerps I kid you not. Diseased is a jazzy number that is joyful and melodic. I like the first synthy bit quite a lot and thinks it goes well with the other stuff it’s a good track to end the EP and is a ender.

Music News – New Album; 6 Pack Remixes V

30/07/2024 - New Album Release; 6 Pack Remixes V

Another 6 Pack Remixes of House tracks I remixed some of the other tracks I made from my collection of files. I can’t believe that it is August already but I thought I quickly get this one in before the end of summer which will be next month. I dropped my hard drive again so I haven’t got the older files but I have a few to go to but I’m going to have to get it fixed sometime but obviously that cost money and it’s not cheap but I’m saving up as we speak so hopefully they will be able to recover all the files it’s 2TB worth and all my backed up stuff that wouldn’t fit on the computer. I actually got a disk image of the hard drive but I wasn’t able to recover the files and it took so long for it not to pick up anything I wasn’t happy. Anyway less drama back to the music. As I said the last time the weather has been nice and I felt like doing some House summer music so I made this short album or another EP of my 6 Pack Remixes. They are all from my most recent stuff which I released in the last couple of months and some from my UK Funky album I made not so long ago around a month or two ago or it may have been my last release yes it was my last release. I do like to make lots of variations to my songs with remixes and alternative versions which I do every now and then but saying that I might do an alternative EP or album next, something synthy and alternative or a few runs of alternative versions on a say House EPs and the last track would be alternative who knows. The first track U Like It (Remix) is a clubby bassy track you can dance to and was featured heavily on my mixes I say heavily as I mixed it in a rave mix for New Year’s Eve and also on my Jack Of House Mix II. It’s a good track for a club mix so it would be good in a rave or at a party or even if you are messing about or cleaning your where you live. It’s a favourite on the mini album as I love the bass and the vocals which as always I get my vocals from Splice.com and the bass I got from my own collection which I got off Loopmasters.com which I cut up and made a one-shot bass for a new bass pattern. The next track I Can Love You (Remix) is a danceable club track while the original was a Jungle/Drum and Bass track I made quite some time ago around a couple of years ago. It reminds me of being in a bar for some reason and is something you can have at home or out and about or in a club, bar or rave. The next track Oi (U There) (Remix) is another favourite on the album and something you can dance to as I like to make music which you can dance to and get down to. It’s also good for those fitness people who like to gym or jog or aerobics something to fully get into. I like it as I like the happy feel to it and I think it makes you want to dance, I like the bass too and the synthy and vocal stuff and the original was a UK Funky track I made and released not so long ago. The next track You (Remix) is another one I like and I like the vocals over the bass and is a variation to my original track which was a House track I made quite some time around a couple of years ago. I remember cutting up the bass pattern to a small rhythm  one shot which I made a pattern with. The next track May You (Remix) is another favourite on the album and I like the bass and the vocals which are some of my favourite vocals I found on Splice.com I just pitched it up a bit for a bit of difference to the original which was a House track I made a couple of years ago. It’s another one for the club, party or at home or for a mix which I used myself in a mix for that energy track.  The last track Time Stands Still (You’re Still Runnin’) (Remix) is a nice relaxing chilled track while the original was a UK Funky track I made not so long ago. I like the calmness of it and is another favourite on the album. I also like the vocals over the instrumental I think it sounds alright.

Music News – New Album; Sumthin’ Funky In The Air

17/07/2024 - New EP; Sumthin' Funky In The Air

With the nice weather and as it’s summer, I decided to make a UK Funky EP with more club danceable vibes or songs to have on in the background. I haven’t made any UK Funky for quite some time now say six months or so, so I thought I’d add more to the collection since it’s just one of my favourite rave genres to dance to and also to have on in the background. I called it Sumthin’ Funky In The Air as I smell something off in the air and is also a play on words of UK Funky and the smell of party or a vibe that sweeps the party if you know what I mean. It’s also the bad funk with Brexit still being thrown around and the impact that did IE more racism and a blurred line of what is British or on the other side of the pond American. Both Donald Trump and Boris Johnson are bad leaders and shouldn’t off been voted in and there is still a bad smell in the air and looming around  and as I said before being a millionaire doesn’t automatically put you down for world leader and is usually for greed and gain but it seems not everyone understands the principle of you work for me. I’m so glad here in the UK the Tories are out and the Labour Party stepped in we can only hope that Kier the new prime minister does his best to pull the UK out of a bad spot cos trust me it’s bad and they are coming out the woodwork shouting and screaming about stuff they don’t even know about or even care for, for that matter. I really don’t understand how you vote for someone who you know damn well they don’t care about you or don’t want to see you better off not if it’s interrupting their pockets which are deep and well-oiled. It’s actually shocking to see Trump run again after such a big scandal of corruption and uncounted votes my jaw hit the floor and it goes to show what money and power can really do and it doesn’t matter what you did before just as long as you got the money, power and votes so long for humanity and the Christianity way. The other funky smell is on YouTube and the conspiracy and gossip or tea channels I like a good conspiracy but when you know something just isn’t right with what they are saying it does make me question what they get out of it. All I know is there are some impressive liars and people who would say anything just for that clout and exposure especially when you heard this before and off a channel you couldn’t trust as far as I’m concerned. I’m all for the truth but to blame the wrong people and spread vicious rumours is well out of order it took me some time to fully see what’s going on and it’s usually just rumours they make out are gospel. And don’t get me started on the fake thumbnails I’m crying trying too on how stupid you think I am but go ahead feed the birds tuppence ahead. The first track Crossing Lines is a danceable party track to get you in the mood for dancing. It’s one of my favourites on the EP and I like the pitched-up vocals which like all the vocal samples and as always I found on Splice.com. The drum loop I got from my collection of UK Funky samples and came from a sample pack which I used on most of my UK Funky stuff. For the synthy stuff, I used the Matrix from Arturia which I used on nearly all the tracks as I liked the Matrix over the UK Funky beat and for the bass, I used one from my collection of basses from a House sample pack or it could have been from the UK Funky sample pack. The next track Oi (U There) is another favourite on the EP and I like the bounce on this one and the arrangement I did. I also like the synth and bass but especially the synth which sounds like a chewed-up mangled tape that just about plays. It’s another one to dance to and pour shots and one to get you in the mood to dance and party the night away. I like the vocals which make it more of a party track which again I found on Splice.com, you really do get some good samples from Splice.com and I always seem to find something I can make a banging track out of.  The next track Time Stands Still (You’re Still Running) is yet another danceable club track or one to have in the background while you are doing your stuff and another favourite on the EP. Again I like the vocals which I think enhance the track and make it into a banger. I think this song is very radio-friendly and something to play in the summer heat too but I think it would go well on the radio and on online radio too which I think where it’s best suited. It’s sort of a chill song too and one you could have on in the background without the need to run to the club so to speak. The last track U Like is my overall favourite on the EP I like the bass and again the vocals which always make the songs and why I use a lot of vocals in my production. It’s one to dance around to and is an idea for raves, parties, festivals and carnivals or in your room. Hopefully you will feel it like I do and get the plays I want so do give me feedback on any of my tracks I make I’m waiting for your feedback and hopefully some suggestions so let me know.

Music News – New Album; Mind The G.A.P.

Music News

23/06/2024 - New Album; Mind The Gap

When making music I like to have a focus point and that means some sort of concept behind it this is my first proper attempt at making an instrumental concept album about a man and later on down the line the world’s demise. I won’t give away the plot as I have made an eBook and an audiobook of the story I wrote around the events of what went on so I’ll leave a link to both below but it has a few twists and turns. Mind The G.A.P. which is short for government against people was from an old album I made and wasn’t happy with so I reused the name for the story and concept album as it fitted into the story which is partly on a train. I had fun making the intros which are on all the tracks and I used free samples from Pixabay and my own collection of synth plugins which vary from the Aturia Collection and the Korg Collection which I used quite a lot on the album. I tried to make the album a bit dystopian feel to it thanks to the heavy machinery and I also tried to set the scene for the intros which I had fun doing even though it was sort of a pain collecting samples for the bigger picture but I’m happy with all of them. As I said I won’t go into detail for this album as there are a few things attached like the audiobook and eBook but overall I would call it a synthy Electronic album inspired by Hip Hop drums, Reggae, Dub and Electronic music. It gives me a good excuse to get the keyboard out and play something instead of doing it by hand or playing bare minimal notes which is fun but I like my songs to have variations. It’s a mixed batch of BPMs so there are fast, medium and slow tracks that aren’t for dancing but to have on in the background while you are doing your stuff. I finished this album in four days or though I was writing the story and picking suitable photos for the eBook even though I scrapped them and went for my friend’s lovely drawings for illustration purposes. It’s funny as after my many anxiety dreams I’ve had a lot of inspiration from my nuclear dreams and made a few things around it. I don’t even know what it all means apart from I’m worried about some sort of nuclear attack happening but I’m still not taking the threats that seriously not as much as the internet tells us it’s all doom and gloom. Also, it talks about the careless government and their uncaring but I’m caring side that got a lot of people into trouble. It’s funny as I knew there was going be some sort of hoo-ha with the government which is why I made my first version of Mind The G.A.P. which was all about mocking the government and warning people not to trust them so in short don’t trust them if it’s the last thing you do. It’s like it was in the making and was all planned out and I don’t know what it was but I should have been more vocal in the lead-up to the Brexit row which severed the UK into half.  The world is now an ugly place with people like Trump, Boris and even other countries who are now being plagued with rotten and greedy governments who are not for the people no matter how much they claim to be complete hogwash for sure. Part of me is wondering if these people just want to be elected to get rich off the poor and by the looks of things that is what happening so do try and remember your own feelings and others around you before you hit that ballot box cos I don’t want to hear any sighs once they been elected.  I don’t care anyway we are doomed either way it’s like picking the lesser evil in a bid to get what we desire come to find out it’s all based on lies and temptation to get us the voters to vote. It does get me angry and that is why I stay away from the news and newspapers when I can it’s too many lies and cover-ups some make me really mad and don’t get me started on the double standards they have the newspapers, outlets and government.

Music News – New Single; Dimmed Lights

17/05/2024 - New Single; Dimmed Lights

More Jungle/Drum and Bass music with this quick single I made quite a while ago now and found the original version on my computer so I thought I’d make a single by adding two more tracks. There were actually four to make it a EP but I had to take it off but hopefully I’ll be allowed to add it on another single, EP or even album. I made the original track and the first track on the single in summer of 2021 around and was my chilled Jungle/Drum and Bass track to have on in the summer. It was like you were in a heatwave and you are chilling on a country field enjoying the heat and don’t forget your summer hat ladies lol. I used the synth plugin Omnisphere for those synths sounds, it has some really nice sunny type sounds that are perfect for those summer chill out tracks and also for winter I think they have some diverse sounds on them even though it is expensive but most treasured synth plugins to use for summer and winter beats and you heard it hear first lol. I called the single Dimmed Lights as the first and the original track had that dimmed light feel to it plus I believe she’s saying light all over the track so I added that as well. It’s funny as it’s also was a note to myself to change the light bulb in my life as things were getting dim and I could no longer see in the past no more. As I keep saying it all feels like a blur and  a past memory but so much has changed over the decades and  whilst I was growing. It’s hard to pin point where the fun was really coming from as there was a lot going on at that time and the world was a oyster for talented and business savvy people who ceased the day and hit it big. I also think the government has ruined some things and made it harder to have fun they kept adding new laws which later diminished the fun and all the activity that was going on around the 1980s up to the mid 2000’s when everything capsized so that’s the other reason behind the title Dimmed Lights. This is the last one I’ve made that is up for release so it’s back to making more singles, EPs and albums I think I’ll do another House EP since people like them with more Synthwave and general synthy beats to come in the next couple of months so please stay tuned. The first track as I said was the original track I made around 2019 and is one for those summer barbecues and hot sticky days. It’s a relaxing pace track with melodic chimes and a deep bass with a overlay of House vocals which I used for this Jungle/Drum and Bass track. It’s perfect to have on in the background for any event and is also good for concertation if you are studying or even reading it make you read 10 times quicker as long as it’s not blasting that is. It’s my favourite on the single and I like the relaxing chimes and the vocals over the beat which I think suits it quite well, I also like the bass which helps the concertation of the beat. The next track Dimmed Light (Remix) is the club version and is the danceable track I made around a couple of months ago and is one for those hot days dancing if you ain’t too hot. I used the same instruments changing some of them to make it sound a little different from the first track. I used a Reggae sample pack for those skank keys and also I got the bass from there too and for the piano I used a original House key that I found within the Reggae sample pack but I think it’s quite diverse and was used on both genres. The last track Dimmed Lights (The Break Remix) is another one for those steppers and runners. I think it’s a perfect track to get fit to whilst doing some steps around the house or even at the gym and you can also dance to it as it is a dance track. I arranged it a bit different to the other two using the same vocals and keys as the first one for a step it up track. I think is also perfect for those sunny days chilling in the garden or wherever and I got the breaks from Splice.com where as you should know by now where  get all my samples from but also I got them from my own private collection I bought from Loopmasters.com.

Music News – New EP; Call And Send

17/05/2024 - New EP; Call And Send

Some more Jungle/Drum and Bass for you with this three-track EP there was another one but it got vito by my distributor but bare with me as I’m reloading it for another EP or album coming real soon…probably lol. I called it Call and Send as calling and sending is an old pass time and is based around a phone call with the start, middle and end of a voicemail call the process I mean. They are all old tracks I made around 2019 to 2020 when I was making a lot of good Jungle and Drum and Bass and I thought they were good enough for the major releases and to rerelease as a major release available on all major music platforms. It’s funny as the tracks weren’t based around a phone call at first but were of various EPs I made so it wasn’t until now when I looked at the track list names and thought of the idea of it being a phone call. Also, it’s a follow-up to one of my unreleased EPs called Cold Caller a synthy EP I made and can be found on my paid Bandcamp and Soundcloud page. As always if you didn’t know by now I use Splice.com for all the vocal samples in this EP and some good ones really came out good I think, and one off the internet also which I can’t remember where I got it from it could also be from Splice.com. For the basses, I used a Reggae sample pack which has a lot of good clean and dirty dub basses which are an essential mix for making a Jungle/Drum and Bass track or I could have got them off Splice.com as I was using more of their bass samples more often around that time but I do like that sample pack it makes the tracks more the way I like it to sound bassy, old skool/new school and siny.  It’s also funny as I hate speaking on the phone and to strangers, you always get the cold callers and the pre-recorded messages about double glazing, solar panels or something tax-related. But I hate speaking on the phone it makes me nervous even though sometimes I actually can do it I have to know you to fully have a conversation with you or to break the ice which is what they are actually good at doing so I don’t know what the fuss is lol. That’s why email is the best form of contact for me I don’t know why I just don’t like to speak on the phone or even worse on the live chat although one day I will be there but for now, I’m going to sit myself down and have a nice one and a cup of coffee.. ahh! The first track Leave A Message is an upbeat rave track I made sometime in 2019 to 2020. I used a voicemail message or what they call a footnote on the track “The number you have dialed is not available at present please check the number and try again” You know that dreaded message looks like someone is playing hot potato lol. I like the bass on this one and the vocal sample chop-up of the ringtone and the voice footnote which I actually can’t remember where I got it from but it was definitely a find. The next track Leave A Message (I Hate Ya) is the response to the first track on this EP and one of my overall favourites that I made so far and off this EP. I like the pickup in the middle and love the vocals I used especially the hook and the pickup of the track which is in the middle when it changes. I also like the dramatic strings  I used in the pickup or when it changed to more of the furious dance session. I would say this one is for the club and to be played loud and is good release music. I got the vocal samples from Splice and I like the last vocal the most which I think makes the track into a good old-fashioned underground track. The last track The Reply (You’re Cray Cray) is the response to the last track and what the other person who received the voicemail said. It features me and I used my own voice and an adlib I quickly said down the microphone and made it around 2019 originally. It’s another favourite on the EP and I like the frantic synth and bassy bass over the pitched-up vocals of mine which I chopped up and made something out of. It’s another one to dance to and for the rave or to have loud if you like but not too loud lol.

15/05/2024 - New Album; Three Moons Later

About a year ago I made an album called Space Lemonade and my first Afrofuturism album which was mixed with African drums and synths. I liked the album but felt I could have emphasised the African space theme I had in mind so this is my second pull of my take on Afrofuturism in music. I won’t go into what is Afrofuturism in music as I probably save that for a blog post or something special in the form of a blog post or something else I still haven’t decided but in a nutshell, I think the genre is sci-fi mixed with African elements. It’s not really a big genre and has been done a few times so I thought I put my spin on the unknown genre and have some fun messing about with various sounds. As always I used you guessed it Splice.com for all the percussion loops which I loved and think makes the songs more what I want them to be African. I have my African drum one shots which I made various drum patterns with, I only used one or two loops on each track mostly at the start to get things underway but most of the drums apart from one were all that I made and I think makes the songs even more. For the synths, I used one plugin the mighty Matrix from Arturia for all those spacy and Sci-fi synthy sounds and not one I tend to use a lot in the collection but something I always pull up when making Sci-fi tracks as it was used on a lot of old Sci-fi soundtracks from films and TV so it’s the perfect tool to use for any Sci-fi or spacy tracks. The album is something a bit different and my second Afrofuturism album, it’s mixed with Afro beats with other infused genres like Reggae, House, Funk, Latin music and Hip Hop with also synthy stuff on every track. There are some synthy tracks then there are the House or Electronic Dance Music tracks which I made for a difference in the album and some of my favourites on the album and what I have made so far. I say it’s my second Afrofuturism album it’s my third as I have an unreleased album called Afro Cosmic Generation but as I said I wasn’t happy with the outcome and worked out what it needed. The albums was inspired by the film Black Panther and when I saw it in the cinema I was instantly inspired and wanted to make some music but only had a few resources at the time which is just one of the reasons why I underperformed the other reason was that my EQing and compressing wasn’t there but I could play the keyboard that I could do. The first track Homeland Mothership is a synthy number and one of the most synthy tracks on the album. It reminds me of the meeting of the mothership and has a dramatic but melodic bass to it which is more from the genre Progressive Rock which I’ve always been obsessed about and partly my love for synthesizer which started from an early age after learning how to play when I was seven but I properly started but I began at six. I had a tough time playing what is the chorus over the beat, not the one usually to have trouble but this one was hard to play and just about got the job done. I think it’s the percussion clap that sticks in the middle of the mix what does it and it’s rhythmic and melodic so it may have been harder for that reason. The next track Alien Pharoah is another synthy vibe and one of my favourites on the album as I like the way it blends a few minutes in and has this king-like feel to it which I do like. It reminds me of being on the moon but in a palace and entertaining the Pharaoh or king, it has a spacy though desert appeal to it and also reminds me of camels for some reason. The next track The Gray’s System Of Failure is another African synthy vibe and another favourite on the album. I really like the drumming which reminds me of belly dancing and dancing in general and I also like the synths on this one too which is melodic and goes well with the drums. I really can imagine a band playing this somewhere in Africa or the Middle East and I think the drumming is quite funky and danceable. The next track Arfrikan Tribesman is an Afro House track and another favourite and my overall favourite on the album. I like the pumping drums but the synths make the track which I used Matrix from Arturia and vocals from once again Splice.com. I was kind of laughing as I loved how it goes in and out with the crazy melodic sequencer and I think it is one of the best playable tracks I’ve made so far and deserve a play for sure. Moving on to the next track it’s called Brother Planet and has more synthy African vibes. This is more electronic as in space glitch without the space glitch IE technology and has this techy feel to it like robots are marching or something like that. I like the chorus and the second instrument that comes in which gives it that electronic space, robot, intergalactic space feel to it. The next track Alien Power is another Afro House, space vibe track which I like and something a bit different from the other one I made Afrikan Tribesman. I like the drums in this one and the calm synths that are played in and out and act as the chorus. I also like the ending there is something about that synth that does it I feel and makes the song more edgy, dark and mysterious. The next track Planet Suppression is an upbeat breakbeat track that is good for those steppers. I feel the whole world is suppressed and down due to the ever-changing world and the major factors like 9/11, the terrorist attacks and now COVID-19 and other diseases and threats lurking the world needs the happy gas. I didn’t think about doing a sad track to go with the title and don’t like to make songs to drink or to get down in the dumps to not that kind of drinking anyway but I thought I make an upbeat track and I got the breakbeat loop from Splice.com. The next track Space War Face is another synthy African vibe and I like the synth for the chorus and the drumming which is quite fast-paced. It reminds me of the desert again or being in space but in a space desert kind of like being on the moon. The next track Afro Gray is another Progressive Rock space track and another favourite on the album as I like the melodic bass and the synthy stuff too which I think you could stick this on and just relax or daydream. The last track Into The Black Orbis is yet another African synth vibe and more in the Synthwave G Funk region. It’s yet another favourite on the album as I like the synths and the 80s drums I used on this track only for something a bit different from the other nine tracks on this album.

06/05/2024 - New Album; 6 Pack Remixes IV

I decided to make some more remixes since I enjoy making them and it’s light work just arranging it another way. They are mostly released stuff except for one of them which is now unreleased and can’t be put out due to not having the right ID from my last account which was called Vision Of Colour. It’s more upbeat danceable stuff which you can also have on in the background if you are just chilling. The remixes are all House tracks but some of the original tracks are synthy stuff I made either not so long ago or quite a long time ago and does vary. I like to pick say synthy tracks and make a House remix out of it and like to see what it sounds like as a dance track for example. I would say this is dance music and is reminiscent of the early 90s dance scene with the heavy kicks and pumping basses. For the synth stuff I used some of the Korg Collection and it could be the M1 again but I did use different ones for the tracks. I know it was definitely Korg because I used it mostly on the original tracks like Has The Nightmare Started and Backstop. The other stuff were samples I found either from Splice.com or something I had on my computer like the basses were all from my own collection of basses and mostly loops which I cut down to a one-shot or one-hit as some people may call them. The first track Has The Nightmare Started (Remix) is a danceable 90s track that reminds me of 90s radio or radio in general, especially on a Friday and Saturday late night. I like the bass and the melodics and I would say is one of my favourites on the album for its old-school appeal to it, I don’t know it just reminds me of the flavour of the old-school seems like happiness you know ha. The next track Close Your Mouth (Remix) is another danceable track with an outrageous arp bass with the vocal overlay which I cut up myself from a sample I found on Splice.com. There’s something a bit Eddy about it and if you know the track you might hear the resemblance of the two tracks, it might be the arp which I think they used on that track. The next track Wormz (Remix) is a Deep House late-night track while the original I made was a Jungle/Drum and Bass track I made a couple of years ago now and is a far different track, this one is more of a relaxing track with soft vocals and deep melodic bass with a western feel to it which is the sample I found on my computer. It’s one of my favourites on the album and I like it for its soft side which I like to play on at night as it feels like nightlife if you are out raving still or are a raver and no longer go out. That’s why I like to play this sort of music it gives me what I need some nightlife and reminds me of being out and about when I was younger. The next track Galaxy Faded (Remix) is my overall favourite on the album and I loved the original which can be found on on my Afrofuturim album Space Lemonade an unreleased album but can be found on my Soundcloud page. I have more Afrofuturism music being released soon which is a cross between African music, Hip Hop, Funk, Reggae, House and synthy stuff it’s been uploaded just waiting a couple of weeks for the release I keep you posted. I like synths over the bass and drums which I think goes well together and for it being different from the other House tracks I make and reminds me of a car advert. The next track Talk About (What’s The Delay Remix) is another House remix for the books. I don’t usually make more than one remix of the track and did this one by accident but I’m glad I did as I quite like it and think it’s a danceable track. The original track was UK Funky so this is a bit different from that one and the other House remix I made which I think was on the last part. It’s one for the clubs and think it would work well there and also at home if you like cos you take the rave home with you lol. The last track Backstop (Remix) is a chilled deep bass but danceable feel track which is the remix to my Synthwave track Backstop. I like the arp to it and the bass with the dusty synthy sounds coming in every now and then acting as the chorus or hook.Â
