I was clearing out my cupboards when I discovered some noisy toys and other stuff that makes noise around my flat and in the neatly compacted cupboard, which led me to a new series of stuff from the charity shops, which my friend bought and will buy more. I’m done with the toys, so straight back to where they come from, the charity shop. Let’s see what the local charity shops have installed. I can smell something good now.
I found this sample pack I did years ago and thought I’d give it away. It’s an Electronic music sample pack with everything you may need to start your next beat. I can’t remember what synths they are, as it’s a sample pack I did around 2019 and was on my old laptop, but it does vary. I played the pieces myself using my MIDI keyboard and I made the drum patterns as well all what I did. Enjoy the free sample pack I hope you can find the use of it.Â

I made another sample pack this one is an 8-bit synth sample pack, in which I converted sounds from my DAW and synths I own into 8-bit samples. It was to for the game I made which is a Christmas game and called Elf Quest and that can be found on my other website randomgas.com it’s a platform game. The sounds I got from Omnisphere which I had plenty of sounds to choose from and as it is a Christmas game there are some Christmas sounds in there too. There are only synth one-shots in this sample pack and the rest of the stuff as seen in the demo tracks are from my own collection of samples and synthesizer plugins but feel free to add your own 8-bit drums and bass as it will enhance the 8-bit sound and make it sound more 8-bit. I’ve used some of the samples in my own works and used them on my gaming album to go with the game and I recorded myself making gaming beats with the sounds and that can be found on my YouTube channel or in the G.F.E. Video Hub in the main G.F.E. Hub in the main menu of this site. I used NCH Wavepad to convert the sounds to 8-bit and I also normalised them but some of the sounds need extra volume and maybe a bit of a snip at the start where there is a 3-second silence.

I decided to make another sample pack but this one is a vocal sample pack and has me and my friend’s spoken words, phrases and adlibs. Most of them I made quite some time ago and were from an old sample pack I made I just made some new ones and changed the FXs on the samples. The sample pack comes with clean samples with no FXs on and then the processed vocals with FXs which I used most of my FXs plugins like delay, reverb, filters and distortion and used plugins from Arturia and Soundtoy. The sample pack is 100% royalty-free and you are free to use them in your own works if you do use them feel free to email me at gasnolight@gmail.com with a link to the song you used with the samples I’m interested in seeing what you do with them. As always I had fun making the sample pack and getting the mic out again to shout some random things down the mic and I hope you find them useful. I also used some of my old stems from old songs I made and wrote as well and is spoken and some rusty singing, I’m not the best singer but I can sing just a little bit which can be heard a little on this sample pack. It was kind of hard to think of stuff to say and I thought it would be easier than it was so I ended up shouting anything that came to mind and kept the best bits which I like now. Most of them I wrote down on a piece of paper and spoke them over the mic but there are a few I just shouted down the microphone and were just random thoughts or feelings I had. The samples from Lost & Found – Finding Time and is a free download. It’s all the WAV loops from the found sounds to the drums I added them all in as I didn’t want to miss anything. So I made this year’s Halloween album a few months back and I had the samples and felt like giving something away, so here are the samples I made from the 13 Moons album. They are of both cassette tape recordings and the original samples all made within FL Studio, and I recorded most of them on a shoebox cassette tape which I filtered out any noises but they are both clean and dirty samples as I didn’t know what or how you will be using them for or your own tastes. I used Arturia V8 for the sample sounds and one of my favourite synth plugins to make synth music with and also I used a Tascam to record the samples from the tape recorder, also I used FL filters for filtering. The sample pack is royalty-free but I’m interested in hearing what you made of it, so if you would like me to hear your creations from the samples please go to the forum and select the topic SHARE MY MUSIC when making a new post but you must be signed in, this was to cause less damage with spam.Â
I didn’t even intend to make this a Halloween sample pack or album I was just messing about with the cassette deck and the FXs and thought how eerie it was so I made a whole album around it which I released in May but rereleased on the 28th of this month. I would like a better tape cassette but don’t really want to fork out £300 for a cassette deck and I already tried second hand and that turned out to be a waste of money but I have an amp and I like to run the sound through that which I like to do now and then when I messing around with the cassette player. To be honest I’m glad I did it before the queen passing as I would have cancelled it as I was just about to do it when she died and it felt wrong making dark but light music during and in the aftermath of the funeral so lucky I did it before.
The album which I made from these samples is both the original track and also the taped sample track which makes up 13 songs in total and is all inside the sample pack, the album will be in this post underneath the sample preview and is just some of the samples I would have done them all but it would have been an hour long.Â

Enjoy around the house and streets sounds with found sounds from various places and things including a toy collection and crystal pings, shakers, general noise and lots more. It involved walking around a lot and also buying odd things like some toys which I got from a charity shop and also things I got around the house stuff which was a lot of things and used anything I could get my hands on. It was fun making the sounds and a nightmare as you start to see sound in anything which doesn’t really sound good once it went through the jack cable. Also, I put some of my video sound clips in there too stuff I got from Black Gang Chine a museum and theme park in the Isle Of Wight and other places and also my holiday to Cornwall a year before where I went to Flambards a Victorian village and also lots of trips on the beach which I really enjoyed but the clips I mostly used was from Flambards and that was fun and got a lot of good footage whilst there but the lighting was bad and we weren’t allowed flash so not that many good pictures which I really wanted I could have used them a lot in my photoshopping and other things.Â
It took some while to collect the samples and process them but it was worth it as I used them in some of my own tracks I made House and other genres like experimental and synthy stuff and also used it to make better-sounding rhythms or feels to rhythms whatever way you would like to put it. The sample pack consists of dry and wet loops that have and hasn’t been processed and I used Fab Filter and Arturia FXs and the filters also from Arturia and some filters from SoundToy I was just messing about with settings and presets with those plugins and seeing what interesting sounds I could make or make better as my mic isn’t that great. I recorded the sounds over the 6 months and was fun to get all the things out and make a bit of noise and I nearly made a whole album or was going to of all the sounds but I only had one bass tone and I like my tracks with a bit of variation so I decided to hold them back for different tracks which were released but now aren’t but I still have them.  I don’t really enjoy the processing bit, though I do at first but it takes so long to process each sample, good job for batch convert but my favourite part is making the sounds and I used my Tascam to record the sounds in and a jack to connect it with. Â
I haven’t made that many samples packs one or two false starts so please excuse the quality if there is an issue. I was using different plugins to the ones I was using in the past but I think I would have made them a lot better now but saying that they are found sounds so you don’t really want to make them sound too different for this category. I like to experiment with music a lot and tend to go through stages of doing something a bit offbeat and not what I usually do which tends to be experimental and I even in a what I call I got drunk and said ahhhhhh! by buying a Synthbot which is a doll that generates random experimental synthy noise sounds and also gaming noise sounds which I also make a bit of gaming music so I will in the future use that in some of my gaming music. But I’ve made quite a few experimental albums and tracks now such much I have made a playlist on Soundcloud which can also be found on this site under Hub/Experimental it’s off all the ones I made so far and not released or they were but they are now on there and one other place my radio which can be found on this site.
