Light a candle this Christmas for the messiah is here,

the highest of the high

On a upper tier,

For it’s time to give and to receive,

the time to get merry

And a good time to breathe, 

Christmas is around the corner and as people rush,

for their shopping

And Santa’s brush,

We must remember the ones in need, 

light a candle this Christmas

For the selfish greed,

As even though it’s all about fun in the season,

remember the teachings

And the whole reasons

Mary and Joseph and their awaited son,

they travelled for miles

Until they were done, 

But of course have fun and go wild,

light a candle this Christmas

 For the unborn child, 

Light a candle this Christmas for the sick and the lonely,

for people with addictions

And for the phony, 

For people who are grieving or been though a lot, 

light a candle this Christmas

For yourself and the day dots,

Cos it’s time to rejoice with your family, neighbours and friends,

time to watch TV and films

And go on wild bends, 

It’s the season to get off  your face,

but don’t over do it 

Slow down the pace, 

Fill those stockings and wrap on the presents,

time to get plump

Like a pheasant, 

But don’t forget big Ol Santa,

Be in bed early

And spare the ranter,

In the middle of the night he will come, 

Like a thief in the night

And on the run,

With his magical sack that is so vast, 

where is time going

It goes so fast, 

As yet another year slips by,

light a candle this Christmas

For those who still cry,

For the ones who are miserable and soak in such pity,

light  a candle this Christmas

For the ones who are still gritty,

Light a candle this Christmas for the wars and the misplacement,

light a candle this Christmas 

For those homeless or living in the basement,

For those who are surviving or keeping a float,

light a candle this Christmas

For those fresh off the boat,

Light a candle for your family and your friends,

for those who you are close to

And the ones who pretend, 

As it’s that time to put away the evil tricks,

time to decorate,

And go to the flicks, 

Whatever you do do be good,

light a candle this Christmas,
