5/01/2025 - New Album;
Another Year Flying By

Another Year Flying By is a seven-track Electronic album and the first album of the year so I’ll start off soft since New Year’s Eve is over for another year but hey the party continues in due course. I called it another year flying by cos that is what happening and I still can’t believe we are in another year already how time goes fast when you keep yourself busy. This mini album is to say goodbye to 2024 and welcome in the new year 2025 and I wonder what it has installed for us more dire circumstances and more shocking moments to come but I hope not. 2024 was a busy one for me with three websites; this one gasnolight.co.uk my main website, my second website gameforexperimentation.co.uk and my random website randomgas.com with all the music I have released during 2024 under my main artist name Gas No Light and my secondary artists name Game For Experimentation it’s been relentless. I actually spent New Year’s Eve the way I always do and is a new thing but I was changing hosting to a more affordable one and  I got it for £3.00 for the first three months and then after I paid £20.00. Bearing in mind I was paying £60.00 each month for C Panel and hosting with Go Daddy my old host and I was getting 200 GB storage space and the new host is sky’s the limit so this is why I changed my host and spent New Year’s Eve migrating all three websites to the new host.  That was a breeze but a windy breeze which means I ran into a few difficulties along the way but it wasn’t that bad since I did it once before swapping my WordPress host to C Panel with Go Daddy. WordPress hosting and C Panel are both great tools you will need to get your website up and running and are the hub for all the stuff you put out and all the backend stuff too (things the viewer won’t see like security, emails, SSL keys (the padlock on your website and means you are on a secure connection) that kind of stuff. I did mess up randomgas.com by changing the records too soon. The records in this case but are used for various things, is to point to the new server of your hosting which basically means keeping your old hosting plan and I used All In One WP Migration and UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugins to migrate the websites which is all the content seen on the websites. I recommend both tools for migration if you are using WordPress but UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin does have the upper hand as it’s free to backup and restore websites as All In One WP Migration you have to pay $60.00 for a year to restore it once you backed it up and downloaded the copy. I use FileZilla for that a free, open-source file transfer protocol (FTP) client that allows users to transfer files between a local computer (a computer that a user is currently using on a network) and a remote server (a remote computer that stores and processes information and performs tasks. The server is accessible over the internet.) My New Year’s Resolution is to save money and to find alternative cheaper sources so I can have more at the end of the day but still have all the things I need to get this show on the road. I’m making great progress I just got my internet and phone bill to do as I swear they put me on one of the higher packages that costing me money and I don’t even watch TV as I don’t pay a TV licence as I discussed before. All I need is a cheap internet and phone package and that would be swell I don’t want the sports channels or the film channels thank you very much.  The first track Auld Lang Syne – Intro is a quick intro I made since it’s a New Year album I thought I’d add that in. The next track Welcoming The New Year is a melodic slow-paced track to welcome the New Year. I like the bass over the synths and is one of my favourite bass patterns on this album and also I like the second synth sound and pattern which I think goes together quite well, it’s also my favourite on the album.  The next track Giving It Up is about making New Year’s Resolutions and is a sharp dark track to go with the theme of willpower and stamina whilst you are going through the pain of giving whatever it is you are giving up. It has a dark and distinctive sound which I quite like and I like to make dark tracks too so this is another one for the books. The next track Fresh Calendar is a soft and yet again melodic track that I enjoyed making and like to listen to. I like the synths over the bass which like all the tracks on this mini album I used Artuira and  Omnisphere and for the drums like always I used my samples that came from the Mar’s Collection a collection of all the most famous drum kits like the Roland 606, 707, 808, 909, the LinDrum and more, I used the Roland 808 for most of the tracks on this album. The next track Chillaxing is another melodic just chilling track. I like the bells and the bass on this one and I think goes well together and is the perfect track to have on in the background while you are chilling at home or wherever you are chilling to. The next track Another Year Passes is yet again a chilled track to have on in the background while you chill. I like the synths to this one and the bass on top of it which I think compliments it quite well. It should be a bit quicker in BPM to insight into the fast pace of this world but I wanted a slow easy-going album to start the year off so I went for calm and slow-ish. The last track Auld Lang Syne – Outro is the outro to the album and is slightly different from the intro. I really enjoy making intros and outros so I will be making more of them for my Electronic albums since they came out so well and I enjoy making them as you never know what I’d put in them or representing in song.

Music News – New EP; Winter Solstice

21/12/2024 - New EP; Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice is an Electronic five-track EP I made for the Winter Solstice, which was on the 21st of December. It is the last bit of music I put out for 2024. Welcome to 2025. HAPPY NEW YEAR! For those who don’t know what Solstice is, it is the time or date (twice each year) at which the sun reaches its maximum or minimum declination, marked by the longest and shortest days (about 21 June and 21 December) and is celebrated at Stone Henge each year in the summer. Boy is it cold out though I know it’s winter here in the UK but going out is embracing I only nip to the shop which is a couple minutes walk to my local famous supermarket but I walk extra fast to get there and get back again in 0 of the time. I don’t know what happened to my gloves surprise surprise I can’t find them but I don’t own a scarf or hat even though I used to I know how exciting is that lol. It hasn’t snowed for a while now the last time was in December and that was vague and didn’t set I wish it would though I could get some nice pictures and do something with them or make a snowman I haven’t done that for years. The last snowman I made we called it Radar I don’t know if you have seen the picture but it was a bat-like snowman with pointy ears and branches for teeth I didn’t put any hats or scarfs around the snowman but it looked good spent a couple of hours making it and then posing and taking pictures with it it was fun. I do hate the winter though it’s so cold as I live on the top floor of a flat which isn’t that high up but it gets cold and dark up in here lucky for the heating which makes it warmer but when there is a strong wind it doesn’t work properly and it gets drafty in here but I always got my duvet. Summer will be next for us but for now, the cold air of winter is here and I wrap up warm and blast the central heating and look forward to spring my birthday and especially summer which is actually my favourite time of year. Winter Solstice (Intro) is a short intro I made for the EP and I like it quite a lot I like the wind sound over the synth stuff which I played using a keyboard it sounds quite good. I do like to make intros and outros for some of the music I make and is always fun putting something together for them. The next track Mid Winter Sun is a moody bassy track which I quite like and like all the sounds used in this EP I used Omnisphere which I like to use for all the summer and winter music I make. I like the bass to this one over the synthy sounds which I think is one of my favourites on the EP. Oh for the drums I used the Mars Collection which consists of all the most famous drum kits that ever graced this earth such as the Roland 606, 707, 808, 909, the Lin Drum and more but I like to use the Roland 606, and 808 drum kits quite a lot and started on the Lin Drum kit not so long ago since I don’t use it that much in my works. The next track The Snow Starts Winter is another moody winter track that reminds me of the snow or the cold wind but especially the snow. Again I like the synth sounds over the bass which once again I think goes together quite nicely and is one for just chilling at home or whatever. I also like the ending which I think brings it to an end and a climax so to speak. The next track Golden Sickle is another moody winter track designed for just chilling at home in the winter but like all the tracks can be played all year round. I like the bass which I think is the same bass as the first track but I played a different pattern which was by accident. I do like the bass over the chilled synthy sounds which is one of my favourites on the EP  I think the bass awakens the track and brings some liveliness to it. The ending is alright too with a more gentler finish to it and a repeater to let you know you have now come to the end of the track. The last track Winter Worship is yet another relaxing winter track and is my overall favourite on the EP. I like the synthy sounds and also the loud and in-your-face bass which I think makes the track. The tracks remind me of the cold winds that come from the Arctic. Again I like the ending to this one and the drums and the change of the bass brings it to the end with the final synth at the end.

6/12/2024 - New EP; Night In Life

Night In Life is a five-track House EP I made not so long ago. I do like the nighttime and nightlife like the rave scene it’s the bustle of Friday and Saturday in your local town. Before I got attacked by a thug in the main city centre of Bristol I enjoyed walking around Friday and Saturday nights and enjoying the bustle of the city. Also when I went out raving over the weekends I really enjoyed the busyness and the feel of the night. I really enjoy London nightlife too it’s so much better going to a London rave as it carries on into the morning and there’s always something open. I don’t think I could keep up now with the night not without the stimulants or drinking energy drinks with your drinks. I still haven’t been out and about for a while now as I enjoy staying in but every now and then I feel like going out and having a good time which means drinking, dancing and listening to music I think I still have it in me lol. I called it Night In Life which is the alternative way I made up of saying nightlife and means having a good time in the nighttime even if that means you are home alone and just chilling. When I am out out I like to be out all night all up until the morning when the party carries on at someone’s house I hate going to bed early unless I drank too much and was sick and that has happened a few times but I really like making the most of the night and staying up until the next day that’s a proper good night out. The first track Nightlife is one of my favourites on the EP and I got the vocal samples like all the vocal samples on this EP from my own collection of samples which I bought off Loopmasters.com and was my first ever sample pack I bought so I thought I’d reuse it as the last batch I did with the same samples are unreleased and lost. I think it’s something to dance to or have on at home and is also something you could play in a mix or at the club. I like the vocals and the synthy side which again was from my own collection of samples and that’s the same for the drums they are samples I bought from Loopmasters.com and I think goes well with the song. The next track Knees Up (Make Time) is another one you could dance to or have on at home and I like the bass to this one which was actually a loop I shortened and made something new out of. I also like the synth sound too which again was a loop I shortened and made something new out of it. To succeed in life you must take time and take each step with precision and with precaution, people always hate on success but at the end of the day they took time in the craft and spent tedious hours of their lives practising and getting it right and they took time out to do so so quit hating lol. The next track Dance For Inspiration is another danceable track you could have on in the background. I like the synthy side to this one and the vocals which I think makes the track into something. I think it makes you want to dance or turn up a bit and is another favourite on the EP as I like the vocals and the downtempo feel to it but is still danceable. The next track Baby Can Dance (Hi Baby) is my overall favourite on the EP as again I like the downtempo feel to it and the synths over the bass it’s one to chill with while you relax or do whatever. I really like the synth pad with the vocals and other synth stuff I think it goes quite well and is a track you can play more than once and just have on in the background. I like the vocals the baby on fire and that is the reason why I called it Baby Can Dance (Hi Baby) also cos he says hi baby quite a lot and throughout the track. The last track After The Party Is The Party (The Party Begins) is another danceable track you can also have on in the background. I like the bass to this one and the synth stuff over the beat I think once again it makes it into a good track and one for the parties or rave scene. As I explained I like to stay up late and party hard so I thought I’d title it that for the early birds who don’t know how to party or throw shapes on the dancefloor.

Music News – New EP; Rhythm Of The Jungle

4/12/2024 - New EP; Rhythm Of The Jungle

Rhythm Of The Jungle is a four-track Jungle/Drum and Bass EP I made not long ago. I thought I’d make some more since I enjoy making them, they are popular on my Spotify list, and I haven’t made any for a while now, so here are some more. Just to point out the obvious I called it Rhythm of the Jungle as the play on words of Jungle music and the jungle and actually means the heart of the jungle or the motion of the jungle is best describing the title. It’s sad really to know the jungle is being destroyed at a rapid and alarming rate and there’s nothing we can do about it apart from re-educate and protest they say we don’t need the trees but we do and is not only destroying the jungle and ozone layer it’s also killing oxygen and also animals homes who have to rehome and be disturbed it’s sad. Not only that animals are becoming extinct due to the fact of things like deforestation and hunting rare animals but also the tribes who live in the rainforests not forgetting them too. I would love to visit the jungle I loved going to the woods when I had my dog so I imagine it being like that but hot and dangerous or more swampy and dangerous with all the wild animals, insects and other stuff you find in the jungle. I would also like to see a cool temple in the rainforest I saw Indian Jones I just need my hat and light brown shorts and better hope I don’t have to eat monkey brain that’s a joke cos everyone knows it’s monkey foot. The first track The Robots Are Down is a danceable track or one to have on in the background and I got all the bass and synthy stuff on this EP from my own collection of synths and bass and I think it was The Ultimate Reggae Collection which I got from Loopmasters a very long time ago but I still use most of the packs I got for bits and pieces and like all the tracks on this EP I got the breaks from Splice.com all my go-to places and packs when making Jungle/Drum and Bass.  I like the ending to the first track with the melodic and more breaks added for that jungle feel to it but overall I think the track is alright and can be played more than once. The next track Let’s Be Real is my overall favourite on the EP and I’ve had this for a while now and made it around 2019 I just came across it on my radio online radio Ghosting Radio and thought I just had to release it to the world. I had some hiccups along the way but hurrah it’s out now. I love the second half of the track with the synth and the vocals which again I found from my own collection of samples which I bought from Loopmasters.com. The track is full of energy and has a danceable bounce to it and the second half of the track makes it into an instant rewind. I do like the vocals on this and think it makes the song into something with the simple synth pattern and that synth I need more of that lol. The next track Manic Dramatics – Alternative  Mix is another favourite of mine on the EP. I like basses and the chorus bits where I add another bass which follows the main bass of the song it’s one to bop to and reminds me of strolling down the street in a rushy and frantic way. I made a few versions of this song the original version which was on my EP Like A Cow In The Night which was a Drum and Bass track and then I did a House remix version on my 6 Pack Remixes Series and then this one the alternative version. I must admit I didn’t set out to make an alternative version I added the stuff and I thought this sounded like the alternative version to the Manic Dramatics so I named it that as I liked it and couldn’t be bothered to change it but it sounds alright. The last track Feel The Vibes is another favourite on the EP and I like the bass and the vocals it’s one to chill to and have on in the background. I think the track is quite warm and can be played anywhere and reminds me of sitting at home on a hot or cold winter or summer’s day.

26/11/2024 - New EP; Tomorrow Will Come

Tomorrow Will Come is a 4 track UK Garage EP I made not so long ago. I called it Tomorrow will come for some positivity and I also just thought it would be a good name for an EP title. We’ve all probably seen our darkest days if you haven’t sit down and enjoy the roller coaster ride but hopefully, the darkest days have gone. In my lowest days this is what I thought that tomorrow will come so please hold the line. Like all the vocal parts I found on Splice.com and for the drums as always I used my own drums I found from my packs which I bought on Loopmasters.com another good source for loops and one shots. I haven’t made much UK Garage so I thought I’d make some and try to make some more club bangers along the way or something to have on in the background or party whatever. I have made a few and still got the feeling of UK Garage so it was good to go back and make some more and have it as a release of mine as the stuff I did before was all unreleased stuff and can be found on my Soundcloud page if you are interested but good luck finding them. The first track I Saw It is a club hitter that hopefully gets you dancing and could be played at a party or in the club or a mix for whatever you like. It is a favourite on the EP and I like the vocals over the bass and drums which I actually got from Splice.com thinking about it now. I also like the bass at the end which finalizes the track and brings it to an end. I also like gushy cute vocals at the end too which are all from Splice.com. I either got the basses from my own collection of basses or from Splice.com but I like the bass for the first track too it’s a clean bass and a sine I think a good shape to have for the bass and fits with most  projects. The next track As We Go Round is my overall favourite on the EP and I love the vocals it really makes it clubby which is what I look for in my vocals but the vocals are my favourite thing on the track and are fit to rave out to and dance till you can dance no more. I think the vocals make the track into something you can listen to more than once and make you jump around like they say in the song. I like the ending too where it gets more frantic and something to dance even harder to. The next track Shorty Don’t Give It Up is another favourite on the EP and once again I love the vocals which make the song into something you can repeat and also play in the club or party or something to blast at home. I also like the bass which is an old-school pattern found in UK Garage and is a favourite pattern to use. I called it Shorty don’t give it up as they don’t give it up they are whores of Babylon I tell you every two minutes anyway.  Once again I like the ending where it gets more frantic and something to shock out to or dance even harder than before. The last track Bugged Out is another one I like on the EP as I like the vocals and the bass like always I like all the drum patterns I found on Splice.com  a good source to found some really good sounds. Once again it’s something to dance to and like all the tracks on this EP you could put it in your own mixes and also playlists for whatever you like but it’s good for parties and also the club.

Music News – New Album; Here’s To Yesterday

December 6, 2024

Music News

26/11/2024 - New Album Release;
Here's To Yesterday

Here’s To Yesterday is a ten-track Electronic album I made recently. I called it Here’s to Yesterday because I have some good memories, and sitting back and thinking about it all, I wish I could have a little slice of that again. It beats sitting on the computer all day and getting square eyes, as they say. I will be 40 in March, and I think I had my days of raving, but never say never again, and it is a possibility I could face. Lol, that sounds dramatic, I know. So many good memories at a different time you wouldn’t have thought you would have half of these things and seems like it’s far-fetched but as laws get stricter and people get more moody and dramatic with it should I say it’s no wonder why there are so many laws but some are just killing the vibe. Like the laws on illegal raves which okay there is a lot of noise and a bit of damage to the property but apart from that it is harmless and is a buzzing community on that field from all sorts of lives. It’s a good chance to get out and listen to music live with all the live acts and stuff they have for your entertainment and it involves a lot of small businesses which is good for the economy they could have just tightened certain laws like how loud the music should be instead of axing it down to nothing. The last party I went to was an A&R Launch Party which was for UK Funky House around 2003 -2004. It was actually hosted at my current address and where I am living now. It was on the cusp of the new laws restricting it in further I think it was about how many people can gather at a place with music except shops and businesses. The windows which were a one pane-slide windows could slide back to half of the window and it was quite a big size I could easily throw my TV out the window and not smash the window and I am talking about those non-digital small portable TV which I had quite a few of them now I have a big screen and only use it now and then due to TV Licence but you should know how I feel about that after writing so much about it over the years. But basically my two rooms but mainly my living room were quite a big size and the windows could open up quite wide so it was decided to host it at my home and I was to host it. What a day and night it was I won’t write too much about it here I probably do a separate post for my blog or something but it was something to remember. The first track Silent Footsteps is a winter synth number which it was going to be an Electronic winter album but I did an EP which will be out on the Winter Solstice on the 21st of  December. I like the bass and the synths which I think came from Omnisphere and the drums like most of the drums I used from the Mars Pack which has a wide range of drums from Roland and Lin and other famous drum one-shots and I got for ridiculously cheap something like a £1 or $0.70 in dollars. The next track Love Me Some Honey Rap is a playful one that confesses my love to rap girls. I prefer female rap and Lil’ Kim and Missy Elliott are my favourites but I like them all to be honest and try not to get into the beef they have with each other except that one time but that was fair game I reckon. For the track, I used the Vocoder from Artuiua and used my own voice which I inserted into the Vocoder as it’s one of the plus sides of having the Vocoder if you’re not shy to use your own voice. The next track Disintegrate is a melodic slow number and a favourite on the album. I like the bass and the synths which the first synth is quite relaxing and peaceful until you get woken up by the second lot of synths. It is my favourite pattern I’ve made and I like the synth sound too which the first and third synth sounds came from Omnisphere and the second and bass came from Arturia V Collection like all the others to be honest as it’s my go-to plugin to use for Electronic vibes. The next track Road Block is a moody dark number and something to wake you up from the last one Disintegrate. I called it Road Block as I thought it was quite a moody number and another favourite on the album as I like the sharp synths and the moody bass and the synths are quite moody too. It reminds me of like being in a game and fighting the big boss at the end or being in a dungeon even though I do think it’s dark but not dingy if that makes sense to you. The next track Love Me Some Honey Rap – Alternative Mix is the Alternative version of the original track also called the same name. I said I do some more alternative versions and remixes so here they are and all jumbled up. I like this one better them the original track I made and was just changing it ever so slightly and changing some of the synths and the bass. Slate Sky is another favourite on the album and another moody number and is more along the lines of 80s Synthwave with the drums which I got from my Zenhesier 80s One Shot Kits which comes in handy. I would say this is one of my overall favourites on the album and I like the dark moody bass over the dark and moody synths with some soft synths for the chorus it sounds good. It really reminds me of 80s music and probably something that could go for an 80s horror credit of a film. The next track Road Block – Alternative Mix is the alternative to the original track with the same name. It is another dark and moody track and another favourite on the album as I like the dark and moody side to it with the drums I made I think goes well together with the alternative patterns I made for the synths and bass. The next track The China Call is yet another favourite on the album and another overall favourite too. I like the Chinese flute-type synth which I have used on another track before but I thought I use it again as I like the sound. I like the other synths too and remind me of the music they play sort of on the something soul show I really can’t remember the show’s name but it was a good show and something I found on Soundcloud but the other synths remind me of the stuff they would play on there show and I think makes the track. The next track Silent Footsteps – Alternative Mix is the alternative version to the original also with the same track name. I prefer this one to the original and I like the bouncy bass and I like the intro too with the other synths I added along the way and I like the alternative patterns too which I used the original file to alter the patterns ever so slightly. The last track Catch The Fever is another playful Vocoder number in which I used the Vocoder from Artuiua and the drums from the Zenhesier 80s one-shots. I like the synths and the bass on this one and I like the 80s appeal to it which I think the drums and the Vocoder do that. I also like the vocals in which I say Cheba Cheba catch the fever.

24/11/2024 - New EP; Shake Something

More house vibes with another four-track House EP called Shake Something. This EP is all about dancing and having fun. Yes, I bet some people have lost their fun side and memories of having fun, but anyway. I love to dance and I used to go to a lot of events and raves and club nights when I was over 18 but I used to go to a lot of events and illegal raves when I was younger and of course the once yearly but now every two years the carnival called St Paul’s Carnival and the once music festival they would have every year at Ashton Court which are both eventful days and nights and a good excuse to get hammered and dance and have fun lol. The festivals are always diverse with live acts and DJ sets with all sorts of acts and music types it really is a show and something I actually enjoy listening to. Dancing is the number one way on how to express yourself and is a form of expression and something you can do with the right rhythm and timing and those steps you learned for a laugh in that YouTube video or something like that. When I was younger I went to a lot of dance schools well I went to around three where I learned street dancing and a bit of everything really. I enjoyed it and learned a lot in those classes about how to shake the assess lol and was a good excuse to express myself I found it hard to express myself and was quite a shy person I still am in a way but I’m not that shy to be honest if that makes sense to you. I used to like to go out to raves and dance with random people it’s a laugh and something that I get my energy from and something I enjoy doing and dancing with my friends too who I went with. It’s what I went out to do and to drink of course like the ad should say always drink responsibly even though it’s hard when you are in the moment and NEVER mix your drugs with alcohol drink water that you can get free from the bar or buy a bottle of water.  The first track is Funny Knot but actually the sort of saying funny not and is a track to dance to and could be played in a rave or at home. Like all the vocal samples I found on Splice.com and I got the drums and the bass from my own collection of samples which I got mostly from Loomasters.com but I cut up the bass to make a one-shot and made my own bass pattern up like I did to all of them. I like the bass and the club feel vocals which I think makes the track into a club hit and something to dance to. It’s a favourite on the EP and I think it’s a good song to have on your playlist or one for your party to get it live and kicking. The next track Chyld Please is another favourite on the EP as I like the bass rhythm over the vocals which again is another one to dance to and have on in the club or have it on your playlist. I called it Chyld please but pronounced Child as it sounded like a child’s voice on the sample so I thought I call it that. It sounds cute and something you can hopefully dance to. The next track French Fever is a follow-up to my other French songs I made as I like to use different languages and French is my favourite to use even though I don’t have any idea what they are saying so if I can get a translation from someone that would be nice and that’s no joke and thank you. The vocals are opera-type singing which I like and I like the change near the end which makes you want to dance and I think is another good one to dance to. The last track Shake Something is my overall favourite on the EP and I like the old-school bass pattern which was a bass loop which I cut up and changed the rhythm slightly. I also like the synth pattern over the club vocals which I love and I think makes the track into something. Of course, this is one to dance to and one for the club it could be played in a club should I say. It reminds me of 80s House with the bass and something I enjoy in House music and I love the vocals which I always found some good ones on Splice.com. I like the end to this track where it get’s more frantic and something to shake that ass to to lol.

19/11/2024 - New Album Release; 6 Pack Remixes Vi

More six-pack remixes of some of the other tracks that are from some of my Jungle/Drum and Bass, UK Funky, UK Garage, House, Experimental, Gaming and Synthy vibes tracks. I went with what I had already using the original file as a template and changing bits and pieces along the way adding new sounds and patterns. I got the drum loops and the synthy stuff including the bassess from Splice.com and the loops I had already which I bought from Loopmasters a long time ago but they always come in handy to quickly get the show on the road. For the vocals, I used samples from Splice.com and as you know by now if you follow along with the reading it is my go-to place to get samples for the tracks I make including basses, vocals, drum patterns including breaks for those Jungle/Drum and Bass tracks, synthy stuff like keyboard sounds and synthesizer sounds, one-shots of all the range and so much more. I am impressed with Splice as they have the sounds to elevate your music to the next level and I’ve been using them for a while now and still, they churn out those grooves that hit the spot. As my other Seagate hard drive is broken I had to use my newer tracks but when I get back onto my other computer my laptop I will be digging up some much older tracks but ah there isn’t nothing wrong with remixing newer tracks but I do like to spread them out like legs lol. I have a special folder of tracks I made but never got released so I might be digging into that folder to find some good ones to bring to life and remix them as well who knows I feel like making some music now but I have a lot of stuff to do and a backlog for my websites but I think I’m nearly done. The first track Monkey See Monkey Do – Remix is off my And Along Came Alice EP that I released not so long ago. It is a chilled but vibey number and is good for just chilling or doing whatever you are doing. I like the synthy sound over the sine bass and the dramatic strings that serve as the chorus which is my favourite bit on the track. I changed the sounds and the patterns making something new but I did keep some elements in there to make it sound the same but different from the last one the original track. The next track Chyld Please – Remix is off my Shake Something EP which is also out now and available on all major music platforms. The track is danceable and one to dance to and turn up just a little. I like the bass and I like the vocals too which  I used heavily on both the original and this one the remix. I like the end which I like to switch it up a little and bring in more stuff and changing rhythms to something you can shock out to. The next track Nay Sayers – Remix is a slight variation to House and has breaks on the track which I added for something a bit different and it went together so I thought what the hell why not? It is off the And Along Came Alice EP that ‘s been out for around two weeks now. You can easily use this to get fit or step to and reminds me of being on the dancefloor or in the gym not that I ever go to the gym but I was a gymnast so I was always near the gym or near aerobics lessons. I like the ending when there is a different bass and there is a slight variation of the persistent pattern that plays out along the track. The next track  Blew Horn – Remix is off my One Man Band Album. It was an experimental album I made around a year ago or under a year ago so I decided to add one track from my experimental album which I’m glad I did as I like the results of this track and think it’s more summer vibes when the weather is hot and sticky or on a cold icy day when it’s just snowed in the morning kind of feel to it. I found the trumpet sample on my free sample and sounds go to website Pixabay.com which I cut down to size and added filters and other things cutting down the file into different variations and sounds to make the track and it’s one of my favourites on the album and I like the filter trumpets I layered which took a lot of work but I used the same file as the original track so it was half done for me as I picked up where I left off.  The next track Shake It In Rotations – Remix is off my Shake Something EP and is my overall favourite on the album as I like the change half way through and the club feel to it. The track is a variation to the first track the original track which I added a synthy sound and changed the bass and other sounds also making slight variations in the patterns. I went manic at the end bringing it to a close and it gets busy with lots of vocals, synths and pressure. It is a dancing track and one to turn up a little bit and dance until you are done I hear club vibes so this could be played in a club or at a rave event or even mixed into a mix and I mix a lot of my tracks so trust me they are good to go. The last track Manic Dramatics – Remix is off my Like A Cow In The Night EP that was a Jungle/Drum and Bass EP I made a few years ago now. This is another one for the club/rave and something to turn up a little and dance if you feel inclined. I used the same bass well bass 1 but I changed the other bass and pattern for a new track but again made it sound the same but completely different from the original track.I would say like this whole EP it would also make good background noise for your parties or me time too.

VOCALIZER VST PLUGIN [FREE DOWNLOAD]

 I’m back with another free VST plugin for Windows and Mac and this one is a Vocoder of 93 Vocoder sounds. I used Arturia’s Vocoder which I went through them and chose the best ones and I also recorded some phrases and words which were random but there is a special section for the space theme which I got the phrases online and made up as I go along. It’s not just me on the mic my friend and I wrote down some words and phrases and recorded them on my phone as I record all my stuff on my phone using a free app that does the job then I used the Vocoder to make the sounds and Romplur to put it altogether. If you have the Arturia Collection and you have the Vocoder you can actually add your own samples over the presets to come up with different sounds and there was quite a lot to choose from so I was in heaven whilst making the sounds.  I made the GUI using Gimp a free open-source software which I use quite a lot and I don’t go a day without using the software and seem to get some good results out of it with the right faffing about. The plugin covers the genres Jungle/Drum and Bass, House, Electronic and Synthwave those are the genres I made the demos with but you are free to try other genres or overlay them with your own vocals it’s all up to you. Each Vocoder sound is labelled and ready to use in your DAW and I’ve tested the Windows version but I haven’t got a Mac so I’m not sure if it will work for Mac but you can always download it and give it a go.
