6/06/2022 - New EP Release; Funk Dust

Funk Dust is a synthy Hip Hop EP I made a while ago for Space Day and is just one of the EPs I made and I made two altogether. I went for a  Hip Hop vibe and a bit of space music but not the normal chilled space music that’s atmospheric you tend to get but from the 90s and 00s mainly with 90s like Hip Hop beats but is all synthy stuff from some of my plugins I got, I also found some samples online that did the trick too. I have another space EP out soon I can’t say the date as it’s yet confirmed but in the works of being processed but that one is proper synthy space stuff and has a bit of Progressive Rock in there or that’s what it feels like but I just call it synthy stuff. This EP is when Hip Hop meets synthesizers and has a downtempo feel to it and was the side two to Space Day and something a little different from the last EP I made. I haven’t made Hip Hop for while now and that is due to not making too many genres but I’m sure I will get back on it one day but it was a good excuse to invertible make some Hip Hop beats without making them and is something I have tried before with the album Sour Eyes which I felt came out good and surprisingly different which is always a good thing. It does have some jazzy elements in there and comes with Hip Hop the whole Jazz feel and is what I like in Hip Hop too in the form of Jazz Hop something I haven’t heard for a while but now I said it I might have to dig the tracks up and listen to them. The EP is mostly upbeat but the last track is nice and relaxing as I like to finish off the EPs and albums with a nice steady track but I don’t do it all the time and spin the wheel so to speak every time it’s something I like to do.

6/06/2022 - New EP Release; Past Present

Another synthy album I made quite a while ago a few months back but it seems longer than that. It’s a Synthwave album and is both chilled and upbeat with a mixture of synth and the 80s which synthesizers were the 80s. I called it Past Present because it’s the old skool brought to the future and I will be making more Synthwave tracks in the future it’s just I like to freestyle my drums and Synthwave is structured. It’s kind of weird and though I don’t feel it sorry to say for myself I’m getting older being born in the 80s even though I’m not that old but I’m getting older and it feels like I’m losing touch with the youth today yes I’m an old man now lol. The past is the past and the present is the now and the future well that is yet to be decided but I do miss the past in the way I’m loving the present just not as much but who knows what the future holds I always hold that. This album was inspired by current Synthwave tracks found on the internet and has lots of heavy drum beats and melodic melodies throughout the album I wanted to make an album for once as I felt I was getting into the groove and making some good tracks so I kept going and has everything in from Pop to Hip Hop which is my two favourite genres to listen to from the 80s and love Hip Hop and Electrotype beats.

3/06/2022 - New EP Release; Mind Situations

A House and UK Funky EP again for the summer and is a little different to what I usually make but I’ve made it in the past and wanted to make more but make it better than the last time as I wasn’t happy with the outcome of the album I made before. I used to work in the UK Funky field what as that is yet to be decided but shout out to Supa D for giving me the part but it was a whole lot of walking around and promoting also music-making but I went all over the UK outside clubs and bars and field research and that was fun and a right laugh but was tiring, it paid well though and opened so many doors for me it was untrue. I saw on the internet that UK Funky isn’t dead and I haven’t heard that much in more recent years and that’s good to see that it hasn’t died but I miss going out raving it was one of my favourites to rave to or to go out on a night out whatever and wherever that was. UK Funky is just one of my favourite genres and is hard to put it in numbers from best but House and Jungle is also my favourite which is why I also make a lot of that it all stems from the rave scene I have always been a part of and started from an early age, while I’m there shout out to all the old ravers, promoters DJs and anyone else its kind of weird as when the rave scene went quiet around 1992 I forgot all about it and went back to the normal life which was good as I was just a kid but I’m been dipping in and out throughout the years.

2/06/2022 - New EP Release; Party Chill

Party Chill is a chilled Jungle or what I call liquid Jungle which is downtempo and another one for the summer. I wanted to make some Jungle and went for a summery vibe that was relaxing but still upbeat and good for concentration or it makes me think better at least.  It’s not all downtempo Jungle and has some upbeat tracks in there too which I decided to have both upbeat and downtempo for a bit of a change and to also not have it so sleepy. There’s nothing wrong with being strong or though I feel it’s good to have a softer side to you it’s all about being strong and not being that weak person bringing everyone down which I’ve seen a lot and hate when people are weak and bring you down or don’t like you cos you’re too strong. When I say survival fitness I mean being strong enough to live on this earth without any self-doubt or even hating and being strong enough to make it to where you want to be which for me is to be where I was before loosely making music and entertaining which is something I like to do. I do enjoy Liquid Drum and Bass and this EP was inspired by that, I used to listen to a lot of Liquid Drum and Bass on the internet and I wished I knew the names of the tracks that go for any genre though as most of the tracks I heard on nights out or just passing which was a lot of tracks from the 90s and 00s from House and Jungle.

1/06/2022 - New EP Release; Day Off

A House EP I made for the up and coming summer and is a positive EP. I make House, Jungle and other rave genres throughout the summer and is what I call summer music so there will be lots more House and Jungle over the summer so look out for that. As I said I went for a more positive vibe for the EP and picked vocals that had a positive feel to them and House has always been inspirational so this is an inspirational EP from that. I called it Day Off as I’m on my day off and taking a rest bite for a bit but now I’m going back to the old me who was ambitious and a person who never quits and with tracks like Get It Done and Walk-in Dream is what I was trying to say. It’s also something I stand behind not giving up and the old saying you never get anywhere if you don’t try is something I’m a testament to as all that hard work does pay off eventually you just need to keep at it and don’t throw the towel in too early. The other part of the EP is about having fun and is about letting your hair down and not faking the flex aka not blagging it to where you want to be or lying and pretending you are somewhere you are not which I see a lot of people doing that and agreeing with it the people who don’t.  It’s about working that toosh in whatever you are doing but No Flex Zone is about dancing which you know when I go to the club it’s what I like to do let go and have a good time which is what the track is about.

Another House EP for the summer and is more upbeat club tracks to get you in the mood for the summer and weekend or whatever is the case. All the tracks are vocal as I like my House vocals and tend to put them on all my House tracks as it makes it sound better in my opinion and more fun to make too. As I said before living life to the fullest is what it’s about and something I try to do or I used to now I’m unsure where to go or look for and just do this and that and see what comes my way but it’s about living life and not being worried about whatever it is and just going for it. This is what it’s about and something I preach a lot I say well you’re going to let  Becky ruin your chances, I wished some people would wake up and see their full potential it’s tiring going around being the cheerleader something I haven’t done in a while but used to do to all my close friends. It’s safe to say I’m kind of blessed and even though I do have a mental illness and all the crappy things that have happened I am still blessed with all the good things that have happened in my life and I only look at the positive side of things which is why and how I don’t go the other way in the down and out life but I do have my bad days but I always try and think of the positive side of things before I get all crazy and low but keeping busy helps with that.

Late Nights is a House EP I made and is for the summer which is just over a month’s time, one month and one day to be exact. It is an upbeat club EP that I got the vocals and drums from off the internet and I made my own synthy patterns up but I did get the one-shots off the internet too. I called it Late Nights as I’ve been having a few of them lately but also in the past and like to spend my time making music and doing other stuff too.  I always find myself staying awake or at least staying awake till morning and then going to bed which is terrible I know but I have a funny sleeping pattern. I guess I’m used to all-nighters or late nights and I used to go out a lot but I’ve calmed down now and barely have the energy to go out or I’m too busy to go anywhere which is something that happens a lot but going out raving doesn’t help with insomnia or the fact that my life is kind of boring or though I do inject some fun into my life when I get really bored of my situation. But I don’t think I could go raving no more and do the early morning after-party that’s always a killer and takes preparation and a warm-up but I can stay awake for a long time if I had good sleep and that’s important, I mean sleep.

6/05/2022 - New EP Release; Way Thru

Way Thru is a vocal Jungle/ Drum & Bass EP I made not so long ago and is of the old skool nature as I like that more rather than the dubstep kind of stuff you get. I got the vocals and breaks online and I went for the more is less is more approach on this one I also started using the limiter to give it that full feel as I now notice without it the sounds are in the back and not distinctive enough to notice bits you wouldn’t hear without the limiter. I was going to make it all instrumental but I enjoy tracks with vocals and it’s more fun and I feel it sounds better so I added them in. I’ve been trying to get back into the harder Jungle and Drum and Bass as I noticed my tracks were more for relaxing pleasure rather than for dancing and even though it was at the correct BPM it came across as slow and relaxing and I hope this EP gets you moving in some way.  I plan on doing more Jungle/Drum & Bass soon as it’s soon the summer and I love to make and play summer tracks in the summer obviously and rave music has that summer appeal to it and is something I do every summer so expect more of that real soon over the summer and autumn too.

It’s a bit early but I decided to do a Halloween album using my cassette shoebox I bought a while ago and still haven’t got full use of it but I’m thinking and using it when I feel like I can and have a good idea. The album consists of taped and nontape instrumental tracks that I taped the samples on the recorder and then chopped them up a bit to make the final sounds so technically there are two versions to some of the tracks on the album. As I said I know it’s a bit early but I was messing about and thought on the spot to make a Halloween album using the recorder as I like the eerie sound to the track which reminded me of some of my old mess about tracks I used to make also using the tape player as I was a tape deck boy. I would say I miss the cassette tape but I don’t but I would say I miss fiddling about with the tapes and the fact you could bootleg anything I’m sorry but I did record a lot of my songs off the radio when I was younger but yes digital is better.  The tracks are eerie and slow and melodic to get ready for Halloween or for music for the day which is still a long way to go but I’m sure it will come round fast. I’ll probably do another Halloween album nearer the time but for now, it’s nearly summer so I’m making House, Jungle, and other rave genres, for now, that’s all up on Soundcloud.

25/04/2022 - New Album Release; Space Lemonade

Space Lemonade is a what I call this album aka Afrofuturism music which is a new concept music-wise and I see there isn’t a big splash in the music world so I thought being I was interested in the topic and wanted to try something new I thought I’d make a new album as there was one before but it didn’t turn out the way I liked it so I made another one but this time without too much of the bongos, there’s an album with bongos and other African drums that wasn’t too great and this one is without the African drums and more Sci-Fi mixed with Sci-Fi music genres like G Funk and Synthy genres. The album was inspired by the old genres like G Funk, Electro, and other synth-based genres that were Sci-Fi and synthy that I used to listen to growing up and really feel the music. I would say it’s the 80s inspired even though it the not the normal Synthwave album you will hear and the sounds come from the 80s but also the 70s when there was a big popular thing with Sci-Fi here in the UK but also it was on a lot on the TV worldwide and also in fashion but that was before my time and I was born in the 80s a decade after. It was after watching the film Black Panther that I decided to make some Afrofuturism too after getting a few ideas from the film which I and the public thought was inspirational.
