More House remixes from some of my newer tracks I’ve made in the last couple of months. I like to make remixes or alternative versions to the tracks I make and I have done a few now on singles, EPs and albums but I’ve only just gotten started lol. I like to get House vocals for my Jungle/Drum and Bass so quite naturally I make some House versions too which I’ve done on a few of my Jungle/Drum and Bass tracks which some of them can be found on this album. As you can see this is a series I’m doing and is the third instalment of 6 Pack Remixes and it’s not the last I actually plan on doing some of my older tracks I made as remixes if I can find the files as that’s why I picked my newer tracks the files are easy to found and ready to go. I haven’t made one for quite some time now so I thought I’d make another remix album of some of my favourite tracks I’ve made and released. As always I got the vocal samples from Splice.com and the drum loops I got off various sample packs I bought in the past, same with the bass which I found on loops and cut them down to one shots so I can make a new bass pattern out of. As I said all the tracks are released tracks and all can be found on all major platforms like Spotify, Deezer, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Beatport and many many more platforms. I only remix my released tracks and makes sense to do just that as there’s no point doing a unreleased tracks as you might go looking for it and you can’t find it so I made it easier but saying that if I find those damn files I might actually do a few unreleased tracks. They were on a old hardrive which I think I haven’t got no more as when I dropped it and sent it off some of the files couldn’t be recovered sadly so I only have what they recovered. Anyway they were my most older tracks that were too long, loud or not loud enough so I’m not too bothered about those it’s the ones that started in 2019 when I was at my most productive working day and night making tracks from scratch as at the beginning they were just loops which I put together but it was 2018 when I started making tracks without loops or just one for rhythm sake. I made this track which I haven’t got no more it was of Talim from Soul Caliber it was break music not Jungle/Drum and Bass as it was slowed down breaks at 110 BPM but sadly I lost it but I do have a copy I keep hearing when playing it in a old mix I made maybe I should get it from that. Anyway I won’t be able to release it as it’s copy written vocals and from a well known game, good game by the way the first couple were the best as I liked going to the fortresses and fighting them I’m not so keen on the newer one too many cutscenes but that’s just me. The first track Desires (Remix) is a House clubby tracks which the original was a Jungle/Drum and Bass track I made on my Jungle/Drum and Bass EP I made not so long ago. It’s one of my favourites on the album and I think is danceable and fast paced I like the House vocals too which is also featured on the Jungle/Drum and Bass original track which I think sounds like Jungle/Drum and Bass vocals too. The next track Everything (Remix) is a bassy club track which the original I I made not so long ago. I like the basses and also the vocals as always I picked the vocals I like and know will come out good and is the rule of thumb when making music always pick the ones not that sound good but what works with the track you are making at that time, but saying that I tend to pick the vocals first before I even open up my DAW but then again sometimes I make the beat first so swings and roundabouts. The next track Dorothy Land Awaits (Remix) is another favourite on the album, I like the vocals and the bass too which I think goes well with the music and I think is a club track you could dance or listen to the choice is yours. I’ve already gotten into the meaning of the track but I will say it’s not a homophobic slur but about people being in some sort of fantasy and me being there already and walking people through the pain of that fantasy IE the stuff that is on say YouTube. The next track Darkness Follows Me (Remix) is another bassy favourite on the album. I like the vocals and bass as always and the vocals make me laugh as I think he is saying eat your body which I’m not all for cannibalism but sounds good on wax lol. I used the M1 from Korg for the synthy stuff which is a favourite of mine to use on the dance tracks . The next track Why You Lie? (Remix) is another bassy favourite on the album. I like the vocals which I think can double up as Jungle/Drum and Bass vocals but I like the bass too there are two basses in this song and some others too. I already made a Jungle/Drum and Bass track before with these vocals in and I also made a House track too which the House version can be found on all my major platforms I’ve already spoke about. The last track In This Darkness (Remix) is a track to have in the background and isn’t necessarily a club track but something for the background and to listen to without the need or mention of wanting to dance. It isn’t a favourite on the album but I like it all the less but we all have different tastes and styles so it could be yours who knows, as always I used the M1 from Korg for the synthy stuff made in the track but when is it isn’t lol.
I wrote a song sometime in 2019 it was a response to Aaliyah’s We Need A Resolution and I wrote it line by line changing them to their perspective. It’s from an album of me on all the tracks they can all be found on Bandcamp and maybe as a main release but some of the tracks are too loud and sometimes distorted thankfully this one came out okay so I thought I release it as a single with three other remixes I made after I made the original track I made in 2019 they are new basically. I enjoy songwriting and haven’t done it for a while now since I wrote back in 2019 when I made a few other albums. I like to get someone else to sing it so I can do the most and arrange a proper song or a House song something like Black Box or Inner Circle as I’m not a strong enough singer to sing melodies and harmonies and other stuff but I give it a go now and then. I haven’t yet found my voice as everyone has their recording voice I just speak the lyrics over the beat but I would like to sound more with it but I think it works for the song. I wrote it with the beat in the background and the lyrics to the original song which I found online writing a response to nearly every line. The song is just a playful funny ish song that talks about when people start to act ridiculous and the fallout of that which is not so much seeing Suzy anymore due to her selfish and paranoid roots of evil and also double standards of people due to their once again selfish and paranoid roots of evil need I say more. The first track is the original track I mentioned before. It’s funny I did this before COVID-19 and the paranoid feeling when someone coughs it’s over now but once again something that I did before it happened maybe I’m good at timing or something but for some reason, I felt like putting a cough in it something I just thought of I don’t know why but it felt right so to speak. The situation as mentioned is a relationship gone sour and the need for a resolution to the ongoing back and forth which can be fitted to any situation in someone’s life which doesn’t have to be a relationship. There are a lot of one-liners and is one of my favourite tracks I wrote and it gets me back into writing more but I don’t have a mic at this time I’ll have to buy one and to be honest I don’t like getting on the mic too much but favour getting someone else to sing the lyrics as I mentioned before but I do enjoy songwriting and is one of my aspects I’m good. I’ve been writing songs since I was seven and also writing poems at the same age. Some of these get turned into songs sometimes changing them to responses for example if I wrote I hate myself the response would be Why do you look at yourself with such distaste or something simple like why do you hate yourself? or something like that. It’s pretty fun and I made my fair share of these tracks to my teachers when I was in school one read teacher, teacher turned into preacher where did she go she done lost her features. I was also good at making the school play rhymes or clapping songs rhymes and used to make them on the spot like like clap clap clap cheap like daps, her mother couldn’t afford it and that was that, they both were clapping songs and that one wasn’t as popular as what it said but I made up new ones every day or every time I was in the clapping circle with the girls and some boys. And for those who don’t know what Daps are they are cheap shoes but good for your P.E gear at school which is sports. The other three tracks are remixes one House remix one UK Funky House track and a Jungle/Drum and Bass track which are all new as I mentioned before and alternative versions of the original tracks which I did last month when I found the original track on my computer and though about rerelaseing it.Â
More music and it was the first EP of the year I didn’t know what I was going to make but I was listening to some old-school Jungle and Hardcore music from 1992 – 1993 by DJ Mickey Beam and I thought I was feeling some Jungle so I made it so more Jungle/Drum and Bass since I haven’t done it for a while now and getting a good feel of old school Jungle and also Hardcore music which is House mixed with break music, vocals, bass and synthy vibes. Even though it does have all those elements in the four-track EP, it doesn’t resemble the music I was listening to or was I trying to resemble it but is more in the mids 00s and 10s around where the bass was still bassy, melodic and harmonized. I’m quite pleased with how they turned out and I have my favourites, but as I like them all, I do have my favourites in the club and making music. I called it Watch The Voltage as perusal people need to watch the voltage come to find out I could attach that to several things in my own life right now. It’s all fine and dandy when you are sticking the plug into the main wires for the first time IE eating all that nasty up and all the lies and cowardness some people seem to go with it. Still, if you stick your fingers in the socket you are going to get an electric shock, especially with that silver spoon hanging out your mouth. The first track Watch The Voltage is a darkish bassy track which you can dance or rave to it’s sort of the music I myself like to dance to and is one of my favourites on the EP. I found the clip on a website it was a site where you can download free old movie clips and stuff and I liked the clip I used in the track. It sounds familiar to me but I’m not sure where I know it from. But yes damn the voltage is high on some of these channels but’s died down now but there was a lot of rotten tea shall I say. The next track I Can Feel is another bassy but radio-friendly track the vocals I got from Splice.com and I liked them for whatever reason so I put them in the track. I like the vocals and the bass the breaks I don’t actually make myself I also get them from Splice.com which is as you should know where I get my most legal stuff which is royalty-free or meant to be. I only say that as one release got thrown out the window saying it was copywritten material and got deleted from my account with no time to chase up the dispute I still haven’t chased it up, I’ll have to find it again but anyway I can make more lol. The next track Your Desires is my favourite on the EP and I am quite proud of it, to be honest. I like the vocals they are nice and powerful and reminiscent of 90s house and Jungle/Drum and Bass it definitely makes the song and gives it some impact. I also like the strings, I used the M1 from Korg I seem to like that a lot you get some good strings and other sounds to make good old-fashioned rave tracks. I’m sorry but I say it loud still can’t compare to new styles like the new wave of Dubstep and other genres that are new. I say the new style of Dubstep was more like slower at times Garage or UK Garage and was softer but bassy and had a lot of melodic stuff not just hard-hitting whops and ear-grinding sounds…..am I in the grandad in all this…huh! Moving on to the last track In This Darkness is another radio-friendly track that is a bit soft but has a hard bass to it. I like the vocals and again I use the Korg M1 for the synthy stuff I did say I liked or preferred the tracks without the synths and liked or preferred bass and drums but I do like using synths on the tracks still and I’m now thinking a mixture of tracks with and without the synths on there but it’s hard to find the ones I like and would use to make it swing right but it might be cos I’m too picky and stuff lol.
